Busan Museum, Culture Experience Centre and Wearing the Hanbok

Welcome to Busan Museum and the Culture Experience Centre.
Today we will get to soak in some Korean culture and even get to wear the hanbok!
(traditional Korean wedding/royal costume)

This is the entrance to the museum
Entrance is free, cultural experience is also free
(wearing of the costume)

We could also experience 3 aspects of culture : the tea ceremony, Takbon or rubbing of texts and images but we chose the wearing of hanbok only due to time constraints.  We had to book our slot and wait for 3 pm.
Soon our turn came and we were assissted  with our costumes.

I chose this:

hehe, me!
footwear for him first
he chose this!
The king's clothes
shoes galore
head gear, wigs, accessories
takes a lot of time and patience to dress properly.
Welcome the king!
Long live the queen ( I feel fat and dumpy with all those layers!)
Our before pic

Our "after pic"!!!
He said..."don't smile, act like  serious royals!!"
but I giggled!!!

After lunch we are going to Oryukdo Skywalk, Busan

To give you an idea of what a skywalk is like watch this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekSSoC_lk7E&feature=youtu.be
So this is the rock that says :Oryukdo Skywalk...I hope!

It was getting very windy and the wind was playing tricks with my hair.

To get to the Skywalk we had to walk here first , because the bridge is over a 35 meter high cliff.

This is  the cliff and below is how the bridge looks like
So now you know why it is called the skybridge!!!
Pic: Wikipedia

The construction of Oryukdo Skywalk finished on September 12, 2012 at the Seungdumal area, which is regarded as the dividing point between the East Sea and the South Sea, and started operating on October 18, 2013, with the theme of "Walking over the sky.”
Picture: Wikipedia
Iron columns were set up over a 35-meter-high coastal cliff, and a 15-meter glass bridge comprised of 24 glass plates and shaped like a horse’s hoof connect the iron columns. The bottom of the glass was specially produced with four attached 12-millimeter glass pieces coated with a bulletproof film that has a thickness of 55.49 millimeters, making the structure quite safe.

Visitors will be thrilled with the view of the waves while looking down through the transparent floor. The sea stretches out ahead of the skywalk, perfect for a photo op, as well as the best spot to see Daemado Island on sunny days. It has also been recently selected as a tourist destination where the Busan Korea Route stops

While walking we were pointed out to these huge apartment blocks that stood out like sore thumbs amidst picturesque islands and cliffs.
 sky was beautiful!

It was a very long walk to reach the bridge!

So we stopped now and then to play some tourists camera trick shots,

Yaay! we have reached...me and my stick in my hand!
 NO SELFIE STICKS hahahaha!!!!

We were given shoe covers but luckily I was not in stilettos

Nevermind we had the guide to take photos for us and entrance was free

Through the glass you can see rock and coral formations.
 The three of us......
 With Miae the guide.
She loved to ask us to take her photos too

It was quite a long bridge but it curved and we we back at the entrance
So ya, we have done the Oryukdo skywalk!

This is how the old skywalk or bridge looked like!

Beefy BBQ Lunch

Today we had BBQ sizzling beef for lunch

As we sat dwon, we were given all these  side dishes and I saw this bowl of radish soup that I slurped all up as my mother taught me to drink all soups HOT!
Immediately my empty bowl was taken away! Actually, I had wanted to eat the radish too, but she came back and gave me another bowl of radish soup!  This time I did not finish it at one go...I did not want her to bring me another as it was quite a big bowl of soup, that was.
Just look at that slice of meat, streaky meat with livers of meat and fat....so yummy!!!

 She cooked everything for us!
Decor of the shop as I looked around while she cooked for us.

Done!!! We were left to enjoy!  Miae did not join us today.

The waitress came back to cut up the meat for us!

We are to put the meat, garlic, olives, seaweed and other preserves in the lettuce and pop them in the mouth
 Like this!!!

Close up of the delish before wrapping and being devoured!!! Nice and satisfying meal!!
