Birthday Dinner at Wong Poh Aman Suria

My Birthday "bash" was a crab dinner at Wong Poh
Wong Poh Restaurant 旺来海鲜饭店
Location: 36 & 38, Jalan BM 1/2, Bukit Mayang Mas, Petaling Jaya, Kelana Jaya, 47301

Phone:
03-7803 3527
The butter crab ("nai yao") was highly recommended

Signature Dish: Claypot Butter Crabs

friendly foreign waiters waiting for customers

haha! we are so early we have the whole place to ourselves
Later...it will be so crowded
so....we have the undivided attention of the waiters
we even got them to take photos for us
while waiting for our food, I unwrapped the cake Angie bought for me to take photos

lovely cheesecake wrapped around with dark and white chocolate wafers
 My cake

 taufu: RM12.00
 Meat: RM18.00
 Soup: RM 13.00

salted egg crabs and claypot butter crabs: RM151.80
deep fried mantou 5 for RM4.00
 yummy belly pork
mallet and chopping board to tackle the claws
the signature dish: claypot butter prawns...a little stingy on the sauce though
closer look of the nai yeow or butter crabs

salted egg crabs

hmmm....our dishes filled up our table

 my carapace
the restaurant is still not crowded yet...and it is still bright and early....

After eating, we had the cake

now it is getting busy, and people are queueing for seats
so we gave up our table for them
 at the car park........
cars are parked everywhere! double and triple parked!!!

our car was blocked by at least 2 cars
we had to look for the owner of this car parked right behind our car
the owner of the restaurant did not seem to care or help, so we had to horn and call for the driver ourselves.
so: take our warning, do not park here, park at the other side
(straight parking) so you would not be blocked by other diners.

 view of restaurant by night

breakdown of the bill: total was RM213.80, the crabs being the priciest on the menu.
