KPJ Health Talk

I’m so glad I could make it to the Health Talk organized by KPJ today although I was seriously late (but there were others that came after me! ) but it was ok as it ended at nearly 5! Or rather I lingered till ,  chatting with my friends.

Beautiful Katerina helped organised and invited me and  a lot of her Russian friends and the talk had Russian subtitles!

Liza Abdullah was there too with her daughter (not in this pic)

Missed this ENT talk as I reached 1.47 (left my house at 1, the start of the talk ong)

Dr Aminuddin the ENT specialist but I forgot to take pic of The cardiologist

With Liza

When it was time for high tea, Liza remarked that she has never gone to a Health Talk that gave such good food! (It’s free) and I do agree! I had a good time doing the rounds of the yummy offerings!

The spread was a full blown high tea! From Maya Hotel!

Even had a Rojak station

Bread and butter pudding that was constantly being replenished

Teh Tarik

Mains was delicious! Juicy chicken wings (not dry and chewy like others) wonderful lobak fish cake among others

There were some laser treatments to try

And of course I did my knees

Le Lumiere Diamonds Event

Today we (Lian) and I were able to make it for the Le Lumiere Diamond 💎 Sharing at The Gardens (she had an accident coming for the Dyson function!). We had fun!!

Le Lumiere at The Gardens

Of course we needed to take photos at the photo wall

Tea and dainty bites served with champagne

Cute diamond shaped tiered servers

I loved the spicy olio and the brownie

Took out the Furla from my sis to match my outfit today ..it was perfect!

See how it goes with my dress?

Maybe he wanted to shop for a diamond for his gf?

During the talk we were not to take photos but we could take selfies .. and we did!

Trying out all the rocks

For q and a I got a mini magnifying glass to peer at my diamonds.

Our door gifts

Mugs with our mugshot

Glad we could were able to attend this exclusive event as we learnt quite a lot about diamonds 💎 the four Cs etc as the talk was quite in depth! (Long!)

Damansara Empire: Mr Tuk Tuk

Since it’s a public holiday (which is a replacement for yesterday Sunday’s Haj 11/8/2019) we decided to check out  malls that we haven’t been before. It was down to Empire Subang Gallery (he hasn’t been there but I’ve gone there so many times ) and Empire Damansara : touted to be the biggest mall in the country! Yes, it is... the biggest failed mall in the country! Sad, right?

Started building in 2013, it’s now 2019!

I took this signage off my car window.

Once inside we found everything shut down and the escalators not working...Boat Noodle, Caring Pharmacy etc were all closed. Only Nelson’s Corn in a Cup and Mr Tuk Tuk was open to cater for the skating crowd (only because today is a holiday?)

Our water and Jasmine Tea with cute baby elephant cup

What else? Pineapple fried rice

My sea food Tom kha

Hat from Mr Tuk Tuk!

Only the My Niss Skating Rink is still around, everywhere all other shops are closed!

I found out that MyNiss is the country’s National Skating ring

“The mall building hosts an ice skating rink  dubbed as the Empire City Ice Arena or the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium (MyNISS). The 1,800 sq m, 600-seater (5,000 standing capacity) facility is Olympic-regulated and has full equipment to host major international tournaments”
(From Wiki)

A pity too... there used to be so many nice eateries here ...all gone now.
