I love this pic.....cousins trying to squeeze into one chair...can we recreate this pic outside the shop? All kids are gigantic now!!
Hahaha,...the star attraction in Kong Kong's arms!!!! the newest Teo cousin/grandchild addition
Grandpa is very happy, now he has 11 grandkids with the arrival of Ryan
Shell shocked Ryan gets an ang pow
As usual Ryan cannot get over the fuss, and he remains wide eyed and nonplussed
all the kids look so angelic, and Ryan looks cherubic!!!
such a nice picture.....everyone is admiring the new baby
Grandma just passed away last year, in Oct 1996, and Rayn was still in Mummy's tummy at the funeral.
It was heartbreaking and heart rending to hear Small Ah E say poignantly at the funeral, "Mummy...don't go, don't you want to see my baby" ..which is why we all went to Johor Bahru for Ryan's birth, to make up for Grandma's absence, and to make up for Caroline's loss... I remember I flew to Singapore alone as it was a school term and met up with Big Sis's and the whole family together with me went to welcome the new arrival.
eh...who are you??? not my mummy....
Ryan is still tyring to figure out who this is
With Uncle Terry and little Derrick

8 Steps to avoid being a victim of a Snatch-Theft Victim

A WGOIKL(Whatis Going On In KL)

Public Service Announcement - 8 Steps to avoid being a victim of a Snatch-Theft Victim and what to do if you become a victim.

Based on police reports and real incidents:
They usually move in pairs on 150cc motorcycles (those middle size bikes). The thieves are usually teenagers but not always.

Prime snatch-theft areas: Colleges, universities, office and shop-lot areas

What can you do to AVOID it?

1. Be wary of incoming motorcyclist whether from behind or the front. Walk on the side of sidewalk that is furthest away from the road if possible. It's better to be safe than sorry.

2. Females are usually the victims of snatch-thieves so be extra cautious with what you are carrying. Males are known to be victims too so don’t let your guard down. For ladies: Try not to carry your purse or mobile phone in your hands while walking). For guys: Always let your wife/girlfriend walk on the inner side of the road with you on the outer side. Snatch-thieves do think twice when they see a man around.

3. Always walk facing incoming traffic. A snatch thief will usually come from behind when you are not looking.

4. NEVER carry your bags/stuffs towards the outer side of the road.

5. Do not answer your mobile phone while walking. If you absolutely must, walk as far away from the road and stay put while talking.

6. While having a meal in a restaurant or mamak (especially mamaks’), do not leave your mobile phone, wallet or keys on the table.

7. While walking, take a look behind your back every now and then. You never know if someone is following you.

8. If you notice someone suspicious following/stalking you … scream or walk into a nearby shop if possible.

What do you do if you become a victim of a snatch-thief?

Follow the following steps accordingly:
1. At the moment of the incident, DO NOT hold on to your bag/belongings to avoid getting dragged along and getting injured. Your life is more important than whatever you are carrying. So, let it go! Try to get a good look at the thieves and take note as many details as you possibly can! Some important things to take note of:

a) registration number of the thief’s vehicle

b) what type of vehicle and model (Eg. Motorbike-Yamaha RXZ, car-Proton Saga)

c) color of vehicle

d) how many thief(ves)? What did they look like? Estimated age? (Eg. early 20s, wearing black leather jackets and blue helmets, jeans, and etc)

2. Inform a friend or family member of what happened.

3. If you still have your mobile phone on you, make a call to the nearest police station of that area and lodge an immediate report. Let them know where you are, what exactly happened and tell them the details of the thieves.

4. If your credit or ATM cards were stolen, call the respective banks to cancel the cards immediately!

5. Proceed to the nearest police station – go straight to the counter and inform the officer on duty that you were just a victim of a snatch thief or “kes ragut” in Malay. The officer will proceed to take your statement, be sure to inform the officer of all the important documents that you lost, for example:
a) Identity card – IC number (if you are a Malaysian citizen)
b) Driving license
c) Credit cards
d) ATM cards
e) Other licenses
- You will be needing all this in your police report to re-apply for your new I.C. and licenses again later
- If you cannot converse in Malay, ask for an English-speaking officer OR get one of your friends who do knows the language to follow you

6. The officer will then inform the inspector on duty of your case and will ask you to go meet him/her – provide the inspector with all the details that you had taken note of the thief – be as cooperative as possible.

7. Once you have given your statement – you will be asked to meet an officer in charge to get the copy of your police report approved. You will have to pay a small fee of RM2 so make sure you have some cash on you. If it is past 4.30pm, you will have to return to the police station the next day to get your police report approved.

8. Do not lose your police report!! For the next few days, your existence and legal rights are dependent on that report. To re-apply for every single document, you will require this report as reference.

9. If you did not lose any important documents. For example, your identity card or driving license – please skip directly to the last step.

10. If it is still early in the day (anytime before 4pm), proceed to JPN – JABATAN PENDAFTARAN NEGARA (national department of registrar) to make your new identity card (IC – MyKAD). If this is your first time losing your IC, you will have to pay RM100 to make a new one. Make sure you have the police report with you. The whole process will take about 25 minutes if the place is not crowded. You will receive a temporary IC while your new MyKad is being made, you will have to return in about a month’s time WITH the temporary IC to collect your new MyKad.

Things needed: Approved police report, RM100

11. **If you do not have a driving license, please skip this:

Once your temporary IC is done, proceed to JPJ – Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Raya (Department of Road Transport) to get your driving license done. **Before you go to the office, you will need a colored photo of yourself! An instant photo will cost around RM15 for 4 copies. The fee involved in making your new driving license is RM20. You will need the approved police report and your temporary IC to make your new driving license.

Things needed: Approved police report, temporary IC, about RM35

12. Now that these important steps have been taken care of, your temporary IC and approved police report can be used to re-apply for other documents that you have lost. For example:

a) Bank ATM cards
b) Credit cards
c) Other licenses

13. Now that you are an expert on what to do, please do share your experience and whatever you’ve learnt with your family and friends. Even if the police or the government cannot do much about it, We can.

By taking precautionary actions to prevent such incidents, let’s make a positive difference in our community!

You are Now in the Most Safest Country: Malaysia!!!

This man stays in Bukit Jalil and today, he did not drive to work because he felt unwell. He took the LRT and monorail to Jalan Maharajalela where he worked at the temple. He fell victim to snatch thieves and when he resisted (he had RM2000 in his bag belonging to the temple) one of the robbers poked him with a kitchen knife. (see pic) He managed to call his friend for help!!!

From a victim's Facebook:..........(don't mind the English...heed the advice)

Be Alert!
Please do not pump petrol at night.

It happens on last saturday mid night at shell petrol station near desa petaling which is next to Petron petrol station, same row with a row of furniture house.
4 malay guy with motorcycle came over to hit him by steering lock n robbed all his personal belongings. there are few cars are pumping petrol at the station, a lorry was just arrive at the station and shell workers were there but none of them giving an helping hand.
please be aware when you are at petrol station. Not only gal, guy too ya~!

I just got my windscreen fixed today. Pls spent some time to read on & share out to your loved one to increase public awareness.

On Day 15th of Chinese New Year(Chinese calendar Valentine Day), Me , my husband Yip & my girl Xin Yu (7 years old) go through a Unforgettable Morning in Kota Damansara. We almost got Robbed at seksyen 4 'Shell petrol kiosk ' the one opposite Petronas near Tropicana Medical Centre !

We scheduled to reach kelana jaya Lrt at 6 am, we leave from home around 5.40am, half way, my husband felt my car tyre don't have sufficient air, he stop by Shell seksyen 4 to pump at 5.50am. There is no one there except 2 foreigner worker in the shop( the shop was locked).

When my husband come down from the car, I immediately locked the car door(that is what I usually practice). He just started to pump, came a motorbike with 2 Malay guys, one of them come near my husband ,.. Telling him " jangan bising! Wallet mari!" At the same time showing him the motor tyre lock in his hand, if my husband refuse, he will use that to attack him. When I saw the Malay guy get near him, I felt very uneasy in my heart, everything happen so fast, in split second, i saw my husband shouting while running ask me to go!(drive away)..he run away bcoz he know I already locked my car & there is no chance for him to come in bcoz the robber are too near my car.By running away he hope to lead the robber to chase him & to be away from us but when the robber saw him run so fast, he come back to attack my car, he uses the motorbike tyre lock & bang on my driver side window,in few seconds time, I manage to jump from the front passenger seat to the driver seat & on the second bang, I manage to reverse my car& go( thanks to my 8 mil tinted film , it save our family life, at least it last 2 knock, it buy me some time to drive away).i then drive towards my husband direction, it was so scary...at that time, my right side view is totally out bcoz of the cracked window, I can't open the door even my husband was nearby coz the robber was really near him, it will endanger him as well, so while he is running towards the counter , I try to escort him there, I drove pass the counter but to my suprise the Shell staff did not even help to open the door, they just stood inside & watch. I stop my car , ..feeling very scare bcoz I can't see my husband,..my daughter at the back of the car cried very loud when she saw that both the robber now are on the motorbike chasing my husband the opposite way, she cried "pa pa", hearing her crying ,..my fear from level 10 change mode immediately to Anger level 10. Immediately, I reverse my car & in my heart , if those robbers ever touch my husband I will bang them with my car if I need to! Seeing my car coming very fast towards their motor bike, the 2 Robbers run away & I quickly open the door for my husband & we are safe. Thank you God for protecting us despite just minor external injury of my husband Yip, bcoz he fall while they chase him & me twisted my right hand for turning the wheel super fast. We make police report after that & go to tropicana medical centre to get treatment. Moral of the story, be very alert & careful whenever you are irregardless of petrol kiosk or public places especially car park that are quiet, day or night. I would like to take this chance to thank God again for giving me & my husband Yip & my children another chance to live this life again. Thank you so much :

Popular coffee shop Sin Seng Nam will close shop tomorrow, after 85 years of being in business.
Located along Medan Pasar or the old “Market Square” in Kuala Lumpur, the coffeeshop has been operating from a three-storey pre-war building, which until recently was owned by the descendants of Loke Yew.
Sin Seng Nam is a beautiful example of architecture of the Malaysian pre-war kopitiam, with its high ceilings and swinging wooden windows, which make the place airy.
The building is over 100 years old, having been built in 1906. The Hainanese kopitiam has been very much a part of the building’s history and added to the old world charm that its surrounding area once had.
The nearby shophouses are still standing and in need of a fresh coat of paint.
But it is a far cry from the business and financial district it once was, with the premises now run by foreign workers. In fact, the area near the clock tower has been made into a pedestrian-only area.
Sin Seng Nam serves as the last reminder of Medan Pasar as it once was.
“My father, Choong Yoo Ying and his two brothers started the kopitiam in 1928 when Medan Pasar was still one of the main roads in Kuala Lumpur,” said second-generation owner Choong Ah See, 62.

Adorning the walls of the kopitiam are old prints, which includes photos of Medan Pasar with and without the small clock tower built in 1937 to commemorate George V’s coronation and pre-war vehicles lining the pre-war shophouses.
Choong took over from his father in the mid-1980s after he passed away and his uncles retired. He has been busy running the shop while his business partners manage the kitchen.
Choong’s sister Siew Yong, 70, operates the popular chicken rice stall, which not only sells roasted and steamed chicken during weekdays, but also fish and chicken curries on selected days.
Work starts at 5am, when Choong comes in to start the fires for his charcoal-fuelled grill and boil water for drinks.
Then his brother-in-law Wong Ah Toy, 78, and nephew Tan Loong, 36, come in at 11am to prepare for the lunch crowd.
Back in the old days when the superior courts were located in the Sultan Abdul Samad building, it was a favourite haunt among lawyers.
They used to sit there enjoying cups of coffee and discussing their cases.
Even till now, some lawyers still come to Sin Seng Nam as some law firms are located in the area and the Bar Council building is right opposite the coffeeshop.
“The lawyers used to walk here from the old courthouses in their robes. And during the trial of Mona Fandey and other popular cases, many journalists covering the cases frequent the shop for meals,” said Choong.
Mixed feelings: Reflecting on over 20 years managing his family’s coffeeshop, Choong said that it was time for the partners to take a break.Mixed feelings: Reflecting on over 20 years managing his family’s coffeeshop, Choong said that it was time for the partners to take a break.
The kopitiam was also a regular meeting place for politicians such as Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh, as well as corporate figures such as Tan Sri Francis Yeoh and his brother Datuk Mark Yeoh.
Mark fondly remembers Sin Seng Nam as his favourite lunch place when he was a chambering law student attending court at the Sultan Abdul Samad building.
“I am sad that it is closing as it has been a part of my life for the last 30 years. I liked their fried meehoon for breakfast and chicken rice for lunch, but we had to be there by noon or it was sold out,” said Mark.
He added that Sin Seng Nam was an institution, but hoped it that Choong and his nephew Tan could re-open a similar establishment somewhere else.
Even now, the kopitiam is still a hive of activity, especially during lunch hour.
Staff from nearby banks come here for the chicken rice, Hailam noodles and chicken chop.
Choong said the wooden cash counter was there from his father’s time, as was the wooden cabinet and stool. The cash counter and cabinet will be sold to Heritage House.
“It is not easy running a restaurant. Maybe now I can take a rest and spend more time with my family,” said Choong, who has a son and daughter.
“I was also lucky that the Loke family did not raise the rent too much over the years. Nowadays, the rent in this area can cost five figures,” he said.

What not to wear to the Oscars...The Worst Dressed List 2012

Real Housewives' Brandi Glanville and Kelly Rowland topped the Oscars' worst-dressed list as they overexposed themselves on

Flesh-baring: Kelly Rowland struck an Angelina pose in a strapless black and white Donna Karan Atelier dress complete with a thigh-high slit

Ms Glanville, 40, was on the verge of slipping out of her plunging frock, which she designed herself under her Brand B fashion label, as she arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for Sunday night's 85th Academy Awards.

Brandi Glanville showed an ample amount of cleavage as she arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood wearing a plunging frock from her own Brand B fashion label (right)

Obviously feeling at home: Melissa McCarthy's gown looks as comfy and relaxed as your old sofa-session sweater
In a rush to get ready? Helen Hunt's navy blue H&M dress was in need of a steamer and the fit at the waist seemed too loose

Risking disaster! Naomie Harris wore a dress slit from the ankle to the waist as she arrived for the Oscars in Los Angeles

Heidi Klum certainly was determined that all eyes be on her at the bash, but went over board in a gold sequined gown, with sheer panels and a cleavage that would make a blind man blush.
Eye-catching! Super model Heidi Klum certainly ensured all eyes were on her in this dress, but with the gold, the sequins, the sheer panels and deep plunging neck line it was all much too much

Les Misérables' Helena Bonham Carter, who wasn't nominated for an Academy Award this year, kept her legs under wraps in a shabby-chic dress in keeping with her eclectic style.
Just-rolled-out-of-bed look: Helena Bonham Carter selected a layered Vivienne Westwood gown in keeping with her eclectic taste

Hip hop star Nicki Minaj hit all the wrong notes in this too-short mini-dress which she teamed with sequined gold platform strappy heels

Leslie Mann donned a 70s inspired dress that could have passed off as a curtain

Blending into the red carpet: Olivia Munn wore a deep red Marchesa dress with a long train which made it difficult to move in - she revealed that she was actually sewed into the gown as it ripped when she was putting it on

New Girl: Zooey Deschanel shapeless gown swamped her slim frame

Both Spanish actress Paz Vega (left) and Patricia Clarkson (right) went for unflattering dresses

Ms Vega's long-sleeved white dress featured unsightly fabric corsages around the neck and cuffs. The 37-year-old paired the bizarre design with a pair of uncomfortable-looking platform heels.
Patricia Clarkson, 53, went for a plunging red dress which clung in all the wrong places. A pair of gold strappy sandals completed the somewhat dated look.

Kardashian sisters Kourtney and a visibly pregnant Kim were also in attendance, and both missed the mark with their dresses, with Kim's white gown looking rather 'Dynasty 'and younger sister Kourtney wearing a bizarre puffed out dress in a heavy brocade fabric which swamped the tiny reality star.

Sisterly love: Pregnant Kim was joined by her sister Kourtney, who was looking a bit overwhelmed in a red and black floral dress
Call the fashion police: Mark Ruffalo's wife Sunrise Coigney wore a baggy monochrome ensemble which drowned her petite figure. The baggy design featured a bold geometric print, which seemed a little out of place on the red carpet.

Victoria's Secret models Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio, who attended the same event at the Sunset Tower Hotel, also had a very rare fashion mis-step.
Ms Kerr, 29, failed to flatter her stunning figure in a billowing green long-sleeved gown while Ms Ambrosio, 31, wore a see-through dress which appeared to show her underwear.

Odd choices: Victoria's Secret models Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio had a very rare fashion mis-step at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party

In one of the most peculiar outfits seen at the awards this year, 72-year-old industry veteran Faye Dunaway looked like she had rushed to the Vanity Fair party straight from doing the washing up.
Wearing an other wise elegant outfit of black dress and ballet pumps, accentuated with diamond jewel, Ms Dunaway, who won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in the 1976 film Network, also was wearing a pair of marigold- yellow elbow length gloves.

Red alert: Hilary Swank also had a miss on the red-carpet in her red sheer dress with long train that revealed her thighs

How low can you go? Russian model Irina Shayk's cream gown was slashed right down to her navel with fussy folds and heavy eye make up

Picasso-esque: Actress Juliette Lewis' dress was a mish-mashed multi-coloured disaster

Liberty Ross proved that you don't need a low cut dress to show too much flesh.
Revealing a little too much, Ms Ross, who recently separated from her husband Rupert Saunders after his much publicized affair with Twilight actress Kristen Stewart, wore a mesh like fabric with no bra underneath, giving on lookers at the Vanity Fair party a glimpse of a possible nipple-piercing and tattoo on her left breast.
Peek-a-boo: Liberty Ross's mesh and zipper dress disaster leaves little doubt over whether or not she opted to wear a bra for the event
