On the 2nd night of CNY 2013 (13 Feb) we gathered at the old house for a family dinner.
This is the children's table..our family is so big we need two tables of the same food.
This is the main table with the typical "turntable" in the centre. This table has seen many, many, and I mean MANY family dinners.
My family, and extended family getting ready for dinner
All the food was used for prayers on the eve and first day of CNY
and we get to eat them tonight.
pak cham kai or steamed (boiled) white chicken
whole pomfret (bawal emas)
vegetable curry( not used for prayers, Emel added this for greens)
chicken breast from the pak cham kai foiled and grilled
siu yuk
2 tables as always
Yow Hong and his family did not join us
Two of the oldest in the family
And the oldest is now Tai Koo!
