First Day of CNY Part 2

After Grandmother's house we went to the temple, 3rd Uncle's house, then home for lunch, followed by aunt's house and  finally family dinner at home.

Boys praying in earnest

since we come here every year, we also take pictures at the same spot every year!

then we went to Seputeh to visit 3rd Uncle, and passed by Thean Hou temple

The cars jamming up to go to Thean Hou Temple was horrendous

Mee Joo greeting us at her home

3rd Uncle
His house has a huge balcomy overlooking the city
with a view of the KL Tower
3rd Uncle's wife and granddaughter Hui Ling who is a big girl now
Hui Ling when she was a tiny tot
Always finding time to camwhore

why not? the flowers were colourful and specially bought

group shot of those who visited Sa Chek
Bye! Same time again next year! (but we made arrangement for a Japanese lunch in March!)
Then we went home for vegetarian lunch: fuchok, mushroom, tauhu

served with porridge

Then we went to visit Khee Sim or Uncle Khee's wife
Khee Sim has a passion for sewing, at her age, that is no mean feat

Her unique indoor garden which used to be a koi pond flowing under the staircase

Exquisite smocking on satin frock for her new arrival : great-grandchildren (twins)
she can still do patchwork

Beng outside her garden

Grand flower arrangement by Khee Sim's daughter

For dinner, I cooked the stuff left from the steamboat
Butter prawns, ginger and spring onion fish slices, mixed vegetable deluxe and spicy sotong were by me, chicken, tauhu, pork were by the maids
Same crowd for dinner....and that wraps up our hectic first day!!!

Mom, uncle W looks so much like Kong Kong in that pic of Third (Grand for me ) Uncle and Papa

Ps. correction: the twins are Khee Sim's greatgrand children. Since the other lady is her daughter and the twins are her daughter's daughter-in-law's babies
