A Touching Story by one of my students at the Big Bad Wolf Sale....
LOST AND FOUND: ONE (1) WIFE|
Mum and dad went to a massive warehouse book sale today, the annual Big Bad Wolf Sale at Mines. Thousands of people, fighting over books priced unbelievably low, the look of sheer hunger painted on every single face. Well, mum and dad separated and went their own ways.
Three hours ...
later, due to the “eternal-struggle-with-technology” gene inherent in all parents, mum and dad texted each other at the exact same time. Mum asked dad to wait by the exit. Dad asked mum to wait by the elevator. Being the faithful couple they are, mum waited at elevator and dad waited at exit.
30mins passed before mum heard the DJ announce over the public intercom, “Will GH Loh please come to the exit? Your husband is waiting for you, and he is crying with tears all over his face. Please come now!” My mum doubled over in laughter before she shockingly realised it was dad that was paging her over the public intercom.
Funny how I never got dad's thick-skinned genes to do these kinda things.
An embarrassed mum came running to the exit to finally meet dad (with possible argument ensuing, ah, my loving parents). Lost and found DJ announced, “Well, our husband has found his wife. Thank you all!” to the cheers and applause of the surrounding people.
Ahh, my loving parents… :)
