Cosmetic Changes

Our downstairs guest bathroom underwent some cosmetic changes
Actually, it underwent a major revamp!

From this

To This!!

Let me show you how dysfunctional the old bathroom was!
The sink had no finished piping that was buried to the ground.
You get your feet wet when you wash your hands!
Likewise, the other tap has a dangling hose!
Turn on the tap if you dare!

The most ugly bathroom that you can ever inherit from the previous owner.  How he renovated it to this, boggles the mind!

The raised pedestal had to go! Yikes! Fugly!!
Drilling lines on the wall to hold the floating sink table

Making the sink holder

Reinforced concrete with wire netting

This sink is not cute nor a novelty but it was the perfect size for the pedestal shelf
The raised "kampong" squat much hated cess pool is gone!

New sewerage pipes

Tiling the floor to match the table

Slowly gaining a semblance

I cannot envisage what this is nor what it is for
Adding an artsy mirror
To get the coordinated look
A storage cupboard to complete the country look

Potted ferns soften the effect and props are added

Finishing touches
My collection of Christian Dior perfumes (Dune and Jadore) I chose them for the muted browns

Aussino bathroom set and Crabtree and Evelyn scented Azzemour  block candle, fragrance on a tile
Shell shaped soaps from Guardian and shell soap holder from Pangkor Island, and assorted hotel freebies.

Footnote:
Everything was DIY, nothing was professionally done and it was a ONE MAN SHOW!!!!
