That night we had cup mee at the hotel, satiated by all those heavy lunch and dinners by relatives.
Next morning we went sight seeing: first was the Chen Clan Temple
(陈氏书院/陈家祠)
Beautiful, ornate and intricate sculture of figurines at the entrance
each figurine tells of a moral story
.........e.g. filial piety
............... staying one step behind
How to tell female lions from males? Well, female has a baby to nurture at her breast
and the male, well, look what this cheeky girl is photographing
ohh, and that's how you tell the male from the female: the obvious appendage
Next, we went to Baiyun mountains (白云山),
and took the cable car
it rained and bestowed a fine mist that eveloped us with cold and moist wetness
so cold and wet, Auntie Poh started to get sick.
Time for lunch, and it was at this place
durian puffs
lunch or dimsum started with this dessert and the above puffs
smooth chee cheong fun with olive leaves
chicken feet
then we were deluged with so many dimsum varieties I could not photograph individual dishes anymore!!
Auntie Poh got sick all over the toilet door and floor
She and Auntie Guek became sick that night!
She could only eat white congee
not this excellent spare ribs
but this....!
the rest of us tucked in!!! Very good and tasty dimsum!
Yummy fried chicken that were soon snapped up!
Typical quaint, dimsum restaurant nestled amidst the green foliage of Baiyun mount.
Then we visited The Concert hall, but due to the rain only a few diehards among us came down
