Last Day at Guangzhou: Beijing Road

On our last day at Guangzhou, we finally managed to go to Beijing Lu, a trip that we cancelled the day before

Y Y and her boyfriend brought us there in 2 taxis.
Beijing Lu is essentially a road of shopping malls, rather like the streets at the Curve (Mutiara Damansara,) or Bintang Walk(Kuala Lumpur)  or Orchard Road (Singapore), only in a bigger and grander scale.

so crowded! full of chinese youngsters!
Uniqlo
we should take a cue from China here: trees are not chopped down, they are part of the architecture
durians!
Crier perched on a chair
their job is to cry out to customers to look at their wares
Just like in Petaling Street, he got chased off for standing in front of a stall too long while waiting for us to buy our stuff, because he is blocking stall owner's business! Now he is leaning at a pillar.

all sorts of food on Beijing Lu
unidentifiable edibles
 exotic  food stuff
Elegantly dressed girls think nothing of eating from bowls of steaming hot soups with meat or fish balls on sticks
hot coca cola!!!
the famous squat
stalls like this are everything
Y Y's boyfriend bought this snack for us to try
what are they looking at?
old roads inside the road display
dropping water clock!

what J bought for her friends back home
we took taxi there but the subway back

So crowded we got separated!! At last, after going back and retracing our stops, we found them!

Back at hotel Daysun Ritz...Auntie SY's room....every room is different!
