Opening of New Hair Salon

I have not cut or coloured or styled my hair since Miko did it for me in May at the old saloon in Esprit, Pavillion for the Teacher's Day Star Idol.

So when Mrs Ng asked me to go for his grand launch and opening, I decided it is time for a cut.

Mrs Ng waited for me outside his new outlet

Lots of congratulatory bouquets and the front looks ultra chic and uber mod

Here's me in the before look...watch out for the "after": look after Miko has worked his magic

this is an unresized picture, click for a glorious big mega pixel view....Miko's image is on the billboard in the centre of all the girls...he looks amazingly young

me and Mrs Ng, pardon the tired look, I just came feom the Xin Hui orphanage and I showered and changed in the staff room bathroom!!
Miko is very hardworking, even on opening day he is attending to customers $$$$$$$$$

Mrs Ng and I take pictures of his spanking new interior, the pillars are solid tree trunks, the mirrors chrome and steel

lots of local celebrities will make their appearance: Lee Sin Jie, Soo Wincci

Mrs Ng gets the royal treatment
10 10 10!!!! Her "after" look

We went for dinner because the canapes served look too unfilling for Mrs Ng and when we came back we saw a huge crowd...click for unresized pic view

standing room only, click for larger view
spot the celebrity...oops camera shake!

we were given take home pics...and a goodie bag...show you the contents later, left before collecting it....I had left my hand phone at home so I was incommunicado whole day and my son and husband are frantically searching for me (I was at school, then the orphanage, then Miko then dinner with Mrs Ng!!! reached home at 9.30!!)

10 10 10 10!!!! Do you like our "after look" ? Don't blame me if you think I never change my hairsyle or looks....my hair is stlyled and cut by MIKO with his expert advice and $$$$$$$skill, of course we got hefty discounts!

Tribute to teachers

Pn Wong and I went for the free Teacher's High Tea at The Verandah Federal Hotel on 27 October 2010 (STAR NIE) She has been going with me every year, this year is the last, she is retiring next year. (But she still asked me to bring her!!! Just give her a call!!!)
I met my old colleague Angie Ng there and the next day she appeared in the STAR with her friend!!!

Star-NiE will play host to about 500 teachers in Petaling Jaya, Ipoh and Penang over the next two weeks in appreciation of their support for the Newspaper-in-Education programme.
Teachers attending the event were also treated to mini makeover sessions by Florence Ong (third from right) of Clinique’s Makeup Dream Team. The events are being hosted by Star-NiE and its partner in education, Pizza Hut.

100 Day Ceremony 23 October 2010

We celebrated Grandfather's 100 day ceremony with aplomb and splendour. Early in the morning, all the cars started arriving, all available relatives gather for the important event

We prepared all his favourite dishes....one of them : his famous braised Teochew duck

Uncle spent four hours braising this duck to perfection.

Doesn't it look huge? It is HUGE! But surprisingly it tasted succulent and tender and was gone in 2 sittings!

Vegetarian and meat dishes for offering.

Then we had a convoy to Semenyih

Panoramic view from new camera

My hat from Vietnam, from my daughter's travails in South East Asia

These relatives from Grandmother's side came all the way from Swatow, China

Aunt G all the way from Belfast, Ireland

THE STAR OF THE SHOW WAS THE PRIEST...

In contrast, he cuts a lonely figure .....he has a quiet moment here
