AMPANG: This restaurant is standing precariously by the hillslope that gave way yesterday evening.

The landslide that forced the closure of Jalan Ampang - Hulu Langat occured near the popular Lookout Point that gives a spectacular view of Kuala Lumpur. Operations at the restaurant has since stopped.
Police have declared the road closed and Public Works Department engineers are monitoring the weak slopes that could give way during heavy rain.

It is a great pity, because all the restaurants at Lookout Point are very popular, mainly because of its spectacular views.  Luckily, we were able to go to Lookout Point ONLY ONCE!!:My blog entry here:  (oops!!! cannot find! willl give the link when I get it!!)

Unkempt: The restaurants at the ALOP (Ampang Lookout Point) are in a bad state.
What's left: The ALOP used to be a favourite haunt for city dwellers to enjoy their meals while enjoying KL's skyline.  Now, it is all abandoned.

(These pictures are reshot from the Star Metro dated 17 November 2012..the day I went to Sepang Gold Coast, so too busy to read the STAR)
