Picking Pimples in Bus

On the way back from Batam to Malaysia via Singapore
there was a bad jam as it was 9 August 2013
Singapore National Day

these are the cars heading towards Singapore after the weekend in Malaysia
made me so glad I am in the opposite direction
although it was also slow moving....

so slow moving that I could see what occupants in the other buses are doing:
this boy is lying down and PINCHING HIS PIMPLES!!!

so disgusting!!!! and GROSS!
can you see his other hand? He rolling the grung from his pimple and flicking it onto the floor of the bus!!!

Ralph Polo Lauren in Batam

This is a genuine Polo Ralph Lauren
premium Outlet in Batam

It is much cheaper but is authentic
as evidenced from the bold and proud display of the Polo Ralph Lauren insignia and banner outside the outlet
 inside: Polo enthusiasts' dream
our Batam chinese tour guide in red....tomorrow, he will bring us to yet another Polo outlet

all sorts of colours and polo horsemen in large black, red and white!
 I bought this
 and this....
but I could not find these.....as requested by my son
 sent via Whatsapp

I could only buy this in Ladies's size,

and my son's girlfriend got this as a gift from me

 He is already wearing it!!!
 (back home)

This grandma was shopping with a frenzy and asked me to help her choose for her!!
Blur pic taken by random someone cornered by me
Limited stocks available....everything was going fast!!!
The next day we were taken to Golden Factory Outlet

 for more Polo shirts....

big horses costs more

 plus fake shirts!!
(I gave them the wide berth)
 and fake branded bags!
 Designer bags anyone? LV?

Highlights of My Batam Trip 8,9,10 August 2013

During the first day of Raya 8 August 2013
Evonne and I joined the old folk's tour to Batam Island.

First stop is Yong Peng food court
where I had fish ball soup
then we boarded the ferry to Batam via Singapore
the comfortable Ferry ride
we were brought to the biggest mall in Batam but it was empty due to the Raya hols
I had the most delightful cofee and tea time treats at this Bistro
my friend had tom yam, I had mee curry

so relaxed and worry-free
 Batam Mega Mall
next stop was the Ralph Polo Lauren outlet, Ken would have gone delirious here.

The biggest, and I mean HUGE chinese temple in Batam
the most crowded kueh lapis outlet
We did not order any, as it was a holiday and no one is making any kueh for you
 dinner was sumptuous chinese food
seaweed and fish bladder

at night we put up at Golden View Hotel
next morning was a full day: our Batam tour guide
Lover's Bridge
Dragon fruit farm : again it was "Lebaran" or holiday and
no dragon fruit juice were sold, much less for us to sample

dinner!!! seafood at this quaint floating restaurant
which also doubled as a souvenir shop

horse show: I am no stranger to this as I am a Johorean and this is the kuda kepang popular in Johor

Minature Indonesian houses display next
Chinese community next to chinese temple
deity in Chinese temple
Dinner was Indonesian: in this lovely authentic restaurant
we did not eat here, but inside with tables and chairs
that night we had Karaoke as a substitute for our free massage
free beers thrown in
then I was signalled to go upstairs, I thought they had a midnight feast, turned out they wanted to play cards
so I had an early night instead!
As if that was not enough, the next morning saw us  at the Casino at Sentosa!
with the aunties waiting for the connection to Malaysia
dinner was at Rong Chen in Yong Peng
Yong Peng by night: invaded by us

the jam from Singapore into Malaysia: it was Raya plus Singapore National Day 9 of August
So, that was my BATAM TRIP!!! Strangely, with three queues of customs (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) to go through..three times of X RAY ing luggage times two.......I ENJOYED MY TRIP!!! hehehe..
