Breakfast on 1st May 2016 Labour Day

After our Reunion, I woke up and it was Labour Day.
I pushed my luggage out of my room and came out for breakfast
you can hear people playing soccer here at the field, Pik H's home is so strategic, there is a vast public soccer field and a monorail track overhead.
With steps going down to a fenced up partition to divide her property, you do not feel isolated, you can watch the public play ball at the padang.

soon, the other guests are up, and Pik H is ready to join us for breakfast
we pose for photos here and there at her lovely home, this her beautiful and functional backyard
It is so big you can have a koi pond, mini fountains, a wet kitchen, maid's room and my room for the night.

her husband explains how he maintains the place and keep his fishes big and happy

To maximise space a platform is built on top of it and it can hold 3 or 4 tables, last night we had our party here.
my room facing the wet kitchen and maid's room and dry kitchen (Malaysians and Singaporeans are fond of wet and dry kitchens!)

At last, Chee M emerges from the room, she was my roomate last night
so, now we can have breakfast, and what a spread!! It was yummy!

Fancy eating with fishes underfoot! It was a novelty!

 A real terrapin!

High School Reunion in Singapore

At the spur of the moment, we decided to have another reunion as the last one was quite some time ago, at the same venue. Below are some of the people at the reunion: a mix of HSBP, CHIJ, Kluang and Yong Peng boys and girls, or rather, men and women as we are now in our golden years!!!!
For those who are not in the picture above: please see below, these are the ones seated at the other table.
A total of 24 of us including 3 Convent girls and 3 spouses/ partner.

This is my room for the night, at Yunnan Crescent.

Pik H catered for 30, she also hosted us a few years ago

We sat on top of the koi pond, such a resort like place with an exotic feel.
Food was excellent too: fried mee (my favourite: I had three helpings!) chicken curry
 fish, mixed vegetables
 prawns and satay
 beef and chicken
 kong bak with mantou

or nee (yam pudding) for dessert (my father in law's favourite)

at the height of the party
Lucky Thian H surrounded by all the convent girls, (except Lee Nar) hahaha, I don't know how we managed to gather for this photo

 the wonderful koi pond
the tempered and double layer reinforced glass that supported us as we partied
See? how nice we all look?

Gee with Pik H, the hostess....
Gee is the able organiser (he planned and orchestrated the whole thing just like that, at the drop of the hat)and the generous hostess who never hesitated to offer her place as the venue and provided food and accommodation for us too!
We will be having another reunion soon!! we are the diehards!!!

Lunch at Zi Yean, Tea at TCC: Post Reunion

After the grand High School Reunion, GS organised a meet-up the day after for more meet-ups : Lunch at Zi Yean followed by coffee at TCC for those who are still in Singapore.  Some have already flown back (the busy ones who are still working: CMoi and WHong)

It's so incredibly easy to get around in Spore...they have a good network of MRT and to get to Redhill where the restaurant is, we just take the coach with clear instructions from GS!!!

He even tells us how many stations we will pass and how many minutes the journey should take!  Wish KL was like that! We do not need to drive and jam up all the roads!!!

And so, PHa dropped us off at Pioneer station and
LChoo and I met BEng at the designated stop, and voila! Dee appeared as agreed and she pushed my trolley like it was a weightless bag on wheels!!  That is her wonderful posh condo, (Ascentia Skyand within minutes, GS was in his car waiting to whisk us off for lunch!

GS in his car, LChoo is in yellow, and Dee is pushing my new Travelpro!
Zi Yean means "Natural" in Cantonese and  "ze ran"  in Mandarin  自然
So this is our lovely lunch and our lunch crowd of Malaysian and Singaporean High School students with the exception of BEng, who is a Convent girl.  Sorry no pics of food, too busy eating!
 Then we adjourned to TCC
which stands for
The Connoisseur Concerto
or The Coffee Connoisseur
 or Tantalising Caffeine Concoctions
 or Trusty Choice Companion
or Tie Coat Casual
or Total complete contentment
or Trademark classic coffee
or The Cuppas Cuppa!!!!
This is my sinful dessert with my cup of Java coffee, which SMeng ordered for me
we spent lots of time catching up over our cuppas

 8 classmates and 2 spouses!!!
