Singapore’s Jewel

Of late I’ve seen many many posts on social media on The Jewel Changi Airport, especially The Rain Voetex. So, we are in Singapore now and though it did not cross our mind to visit Jewel, WE FOUND OURSELVES IN JEWEL!!

Baby made it to the Rain Vortex

So did we!!!!

No lah, you can’t touch the water or spray, there’s a barrier but that’s how everyone poses!

Awesome right? And it seems there’s some pyrotechnics display at night... must be quite spectacular!

The world’s tallest indoor waterfall (man made though)

It’s a holiday for kids “Youth Day” today 8 July, and my niece brings her 2 kids for a day out and it was she who got us here.

The 5 th Level!

Level 5 is called Canopy Park.

At level 5 there are a lot of activities for kids and youths like Hedge Maze, Mirror Maze, Slides, nature and topiary walks etc .. but there were queues everywhere and tickets need to be bought!

So nice and bustling!!!!! 5 levels to explore... plus lots of trendy cafes and specialty shopping. Here you can actually see a train passing through!

So, do visit Jewel! It opened a few months ago, April 2019 to be exact, and everybody has been raving about it!

Back to kl by First Coach

While the others fly back I stuck to my faithful old trusted mode of transport : First Coach RM55 to spore and RM85 from Spore!!! (Booked online with NO  handling fee)

It departs from Novena Square and guess what? My niece fetched me there and my friends took time off to spend time with me before I set off! Here they are so busy getting my brunch!

"Hey!!! Why you take my photo without my knowledge?? I need to pose Lah!!!" Hahaha!!!
So she smoothed her hair and "hahahaha... " she guffawed again. That is her signature laugh..

HAHAHAHA...more laughs from her ...as I took a pic of her posing ..and look at our food! Mee rebus and laksa set that comes with thick toast which  I ta pau for the bus.
So they saw me off as I got on the bus.
It was 3rd May and holiday is over so there was no rush at the customs.. The coach even stopped right in front of the immigration counter and all I had to do was push my luggage across the drain and present my passport !!

My most trusted mode of transport to Singapore; FIRST COACH.

Sembawang Hotsprings

Nestled amidst green woods next to an army camp lies a bit so well kept secret : Sembawang Hotsprings
When we reached there were many people there already , collecting hot water in buckets to soak their feet
Here she is with a basin for me...
Hahaha!! I wanted to pose  for the camera  but I  accidentally dunked my feet in the boiling water and I yelped in pain!! Not only that I was jumping about trying to avoid the hot water but ended up stepping on the basin with my whole FOOT in it! Believe you me .. It was really REALLY  HOT!! My whole left foot was scalded!! Everyone was looking and laughing at me! BTW the LV bag isn't mine, it's my sis' a precious gift from her son and she totes it everywhere, not me, I keep mine for functions only.
Hehe... If you notice carefully my feet is not in the water shhhhh!!
The hot water is purported to have healing and medicinal properties
Hot steam and water coming out from the vents
Uncle Roger says I must do this stance to get the best effects of the steam
You can even boil  eggs but they did not cook well and we had to dispose of them .
I got this picture from the The Huffington Post
The only "natural open-air bath" Senbawan hot spring located in the city-state Singapore

I think it's funny because you see a man socking inside a blue drum and a woman lying down having a natural hot bath!!!
and this picture is from here:

it gives you a step by step guide on how to get there!

Lunch at Zi Yean, Tea at TCC: Post Reunion

After the grand High School Reunion, GS organised a meet-up the day after for more meet-ups : Lunch at Zi Yean followed by coffee at TCC for those who are still in Singapore.  Some have already flown back (the busy ones who are still working: CMoi and WHong)

It's so incredibly easy to get around in Spore...they have a good network of MRT and to get to Redhill where the restaurant is, we just take the coach with clear instructions from GS!!!

He even tells us how many stations we will pass and how many minutes the journey should take!  Wish KL was like that! We do not need to drive and jam up all the roads!!!

And so, PHa dropped us off at Pioneer station and
LChoo and I met BEng at the designated stop, and voila! Dee appeared as agreed and she pushed my trolley like it was a weightless bag on wheels!!  That is her wonderful posh condo, (Ascentia Skyand within minutes, GS was in his car waiting to whisk us off for lunch!

GS in his car, LChoo is in yellow, and Dee is pushing my new Travelpro!
Zi Yean means "Natural" in Cantonese and  "ze ran"  in Mandarin  自然
So this is our lovely lunch and our lunch crowd of Malaysian and Singaporean High School students with the exception of BEng, who is a Convent girl.  Sorry no pics of food, too busy eating!
 Then we adjourned to TCC
which stands for
The Connoisseur Concerto
or The Coffee Connoisseur
 or Tantalising Caffeine Concoctions
 or Trusty Choice Companion
or Tie Coat Casual
or Total complete contentment
or Trademark classic coffee
or The Cuppas Cuppa!!!!
This is my sinful dessert with my cup of Java coffee, which SMeng ordered for me
we spent lots of time catching up over our cuppas

 8 classmates and 2 spouses!!!

Serina Wee

While I am not particularly interested in the City Harvest case
but since I am bombarded on social media and the press everyday with their news
I can't help but notice one pretty face:
Serina Wee's!!
(the first girl in the pic below)

Kudos to Singapore for a speedy trial and for serving justice where it is due (unlike  a certain country ..you know which....where it is so difficult to mete out verdict due to convoluted plots and twists that put  Bollywood and K-movies to shame

Everyday Serina arrives at court dressed trendily
 effortless chic
 cool comfort yet stylish
in power suits that make you think she is going for a high level multi global corporate meeting
smiling like she is going to chair the above said meeting!
sharp tailored suits with designer bags
body con dress in chanel inspired black and white
like going for movie shoot or photo shoot

and no wonder! This pencil suit she is wearing is now available on line!!!
She opens her own online boutique to sell the clothes that she models!!
makes me want to reach for my mouse and go online to get one!

togged up from head to toe

 so pretty

they are going to jail fo misappropriating  funds to finance the above's pop star career lol
maybe even finance her plastic surgery

To jail,,to jail!!!
