A Walk in KLCC Park

I forgot to bring my shorts and sports shoes for an early morning jog round KLCC park
but I had an orange Kitschen blouse that I bought together with my sis Caroline and orange South China Sea platforms
so that was good enough a reason for a walk in the park!!!

the fancy doors of the hotel, I chased off the footmen and closed the door so I could take a nice pic hehehe bec I wanted to emulate my sis Millie's photo below....
in 2012
in the quadrangle of Suria KLCC, here you can take an impressive pic of the twin towers

Malay House for Hari Raya

Do you like this Malay village house?

completely liveable, has a little garden, with carved wooden awnings, doors with slats for natural ventilation,
wooden steps, potted plants, full lighting and working fans
railway sleepers lead to the steps of the kampung house
has fish traps raya oil lamps, baskets  and birdcage
but wait, what is that contraption behind the house?

It is not in a real village house but a replica of a house, and it got transplanted plank by plank here
see the inside of the shopping complex?
Lots of shoppers and tourists took photos, but alas, they were not allowed in! This house is the decor at the central atrium of Suria KLCC for Hari Raya.  It has been dismantled and removed.

Mandarin Oriental Free Stay

Wary of the traffic jams and balik kampung rush, but mostly because sick of travelling in hot weather, we opted for a Kuala Lumpur City Centre getaway.....at

MANDARIN ORIENTAL!!!

Being an Elite Club member, I made use of the free night's stay
Awesome Orchid centrepiece at the foyer

deluxe city view room
everywhere we go we bring our youngest daughter, the only one of the three children who will still tag along

Unfortunately, for a 5 star hotel, you have to pay 80 ringgit for wifi, so he went home to get his Wimax PI
then  the three of us could go online
Soon it was time for tea...

guess who joined us? She loved the twin towers view!
At night we dressed up for dinner at Biba's Cafe, we paid for the little girl, half price and 10 percent off for club member
Biba's....very spacious and leisurely dining
the most colourful kueh lapis
then we went to Suria KLCC for window shopping
and the KLCC park where tourists asked Jenn to take photos for them
so nice, can take time off to lepak
as did the rest of the hoi polloi
we wanted to catch a movie but the interesting ones were all 18SX and 13PG!
so we went back to the hotel
go back to room to go online lor
extra free bed for kiddo
no, she is not revising for UPSR, she is reading up on VAMPIRES
OneKL at night
supposed to be romantic getaway for us,but nvm, lou foo lou chai already, (I had even bought a new animal print nightie!)

Next morning we went to the KLCC park again
did touristy stuff like take photos

we forgot our jogging shoes (I brought all stilettoes and platforms!)
His new camera has fantastic zoom
then I had to go for my spa massage appointment at 10

walked across from Aseana boutique and restaurant belonging to Farah Khan
the spa reception
I am going to do up my house like this
my favourite spa drink: hot ginger and hot towel
time to get down to business...I opted for aromatherapy massage

with different essence to choose from: jasmine, ylang ylang, lavender and I forgot the last one
my robe
while i spa-ed, they lolled about at the pool
infinity pool is now de rigeur
this Korean girl looks after at least three kids before she went to the edge of the pool to admire the view with her boyfriend

No, she is not "ulangkaji -ing"  for UPSR! She is re-reading Twilight!
Our shoes! 3 quarters are mine! I do not believe in travelling light.
so sad, time to go home.
OneKL again, so near to Mandarin Oriental.  You are welcome to stay at MO because I still have half price vouchers, free Japanese dinners and free afternoon tea! Any takers????
