Driving to Cameron Highlands for wedding photoshoot

Last weekend, we drove to Cameron Highlands for wedding photoshoot,
enroute we stopped at SPK Sunway to pick up Angie

2 and a half storey ultra modern house
in a very neat and nice neighbourhood

it was the day after Raya, and the opposite way heading back to KL city
  was jammed up!
Around noon the familiar limestone outcrops greeted us and we felt it was time to stop for lunch in Ipoh.  After all, Ipoh has just made it into the Lonely Planet list as No 6 city to visit after Nagoya.(no 1)
Many shops were sold out so we ended up in Sun Seng Fatt
the interior of the shop had a good mix of clients and we settled for a quick meal
 Errr.....art of conversation is waning....
On the wall are the 4 and only 4 choices of noodles: prawn mee, lam mee, shredded chicken hor fan and curry mee.
And all the noodles cost RM6.90 each

 kai see hor fan
lam mee

prawn mee
 curry mee
 she liked her lam mee
son was satisfied with his hay mee
I liked the mint leaves, but was disappointed there were no cockles in my curry mee
and all the liew for the four types of mee was the same: prawns, and char siew
drinks, but I did not like my "teh tak kacau" because the condensed milk was stirred into my tea.

Mary Ann's Church Wedding at St Francis Assisi Church. Cheras

After her traditional wedding at the temple, Mary Anne had a church ceremony at St Francis Assisi Church in Cheras, near Kajang.

On the steps of the church.

This church is near my Midah house which I used to pass by every time I drove to my school in Kajang. (Sek Men Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah).  At that time there were no flyovers or tolls or so many road distraction and this church is readily visible from the road side. Now you have to drive in a small road to find it.

Nearly 30 years ago, we brought my Filipina maid Linda and my year old daughter (she is 30 now hahaha!!) for midnight mass...and those statues outside had beautiful nativity scenes with infant Jesus in the manger and the stable animals.
The bridegroom arrives, looking dapper in white suit.

Ravishing bride is walked down the aisle.

Dressed in a lovely figure hugging Grecian gown and long train.

theme today is blue and white.
 Vows and rings are exchanged.
Priest giving sermon and holy communion. I beleive that is the statue of St Francis of Assis, I was taught about him during Catechism class.
 err. no kiss!
They looked so happy, walking down the aisle together!

I have not taken holy water to put on my forehead and make the sign of the cross since my Convent days!!
 I met another student, Kalpana.
She has a daughter who is so cute! so loveable!!!
It was a small and intimate ceremony and now they are taking photos with relatives.
I went up this steps to the luncheon place.
 Food was lovely Indian treats and I loved the vadai;

Beautiful church ceremony in a beautiful Catholic Church!

10 October 2015 Irene Yong's son wedding

My best, best friend from dancing class, Irene Yong had already booked me long ago for her son's wedding...when I was in Perth, she chided me,,"Loo, aren't you coming home to attend my son's wedding dinner? I won't forgive you if you don't" of course, I had already blocked my calendar for it, but I had forgotten my dance teacher's bday party dance and went on a Perth holiday!!
Btw Irene was the first to visit me when I was hospitalised for dengue, that's how good a friend she is to me.
 Evan and Bell
"boy side"
 Girl side
she has two sons, and both of them are hitched...this is the youngest.
eldest son is a doctor, he brought his mom to visit me in Columbia Asia hospital

I need this for ideas for the future, hehe...
(I got this pic from her, the rest are my own pics)
this is a touching scene and will move you to tears as the respective set of parents get appreciated by their kids....
my table...wow! our dancing group is so big now....Mother of the groom is the one with flowers.
as usual, we love photos and selfies
