National serviceman needs maid to carry his backpack

Army boy, maid carry bag
The picture of a maid carrying the backpack for NS boy is big news all over the main newspapers in Malaysia! Reminds me of Tuti carrying bags for Sue!!! BTW Emel still carries my bags what. And my students carry my bags for me to and from my car, so there!

"A photograph being circulated online has sparked a heated debate about whether Gen Y soldiers are too pampered. In it, a young man, dressed head-to-toe in army fatigues, is captured with a woman carrying what is presumably his backpack. The photo was posted on The Straits Times' online portal Stomp at about noon on Sunday.Responding to a Straits Times query, a Ministry of Defence spokesman said 'the SAF takes a serious view of the conduct of its servicemen in public'. She added that the SAF will investigate and take appropriate action. The photo had attracted more than 180 comments on Stomp as of press time. A posting on Stomp typically attracts about 50 comments. It was soon posted on social networking site Facebook and online forums like hardwarezone.com.sg, which attracted more than 300 comments on it. It is not known where or who the image originated from. Its authenticity also could not be verified. " Taken from : http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_650177.html

COMPLEMENTARY Protection..Free Condoms!

While in the bathroom getting ready for dinner, I saw some complementary(their spelling, not mine) stuff, I knew immediately what it was!
should be "complimentary"or maybe it does complement their activities and performance!

"sarungs"!!!! Natural rubber latex (from Malaysia I hope)
Chinese people are very matter-of-fact and practical....free condoms for you should you need the services of girls who knock on your door in the middle of the night, and should you need to keep STD at bay.

From Guangzhou to Shantou to meet Relatives.

After 2 days in Guangzhou we left by coach to Swatow or Shantou to meet the relatives, the main aim of our trip to China.

5 hours in the bus.
Motor cycles!!! On reaching Swatow, this is the first thing we see!  Motorcycles are banned in Guangzhou!
 Scary traffic!
But wait till you see when the lights turn green! All sorts of traffic in all directions!!!
And this is without pedestrians crossing the streets any old how!

 Mini skirt on motor bike!
They have a designated motor cycle lane, but you can see a motor bike going onto the car lane!
Before the bus stopped, our relatives swarmed upon us!! They have been waiting for us!!!
The looks on these faces range from surprise to shock to happiness!
Welcoming committee from China for the exiled Chinese.
Liang Seng is my children's grandmother's nephew, her brother's eldest (of 5 sons)
Our hotel in Swatow.  Jenn wants back her Phoenix Hotel in Guangzhou. So did Auntie Guek!
The China contingent: Old Uncle, Grand Auntie, Uncle Siang, Xiao Ying, Xiao Yen, Chuen Chuen, Yen Ling.
Cousin Yen Yen, her mum Chuen Chuen, and  Fourth Aunt all the way from Chao Yang with Grand Aunt.
Fourth Aunt, Chew Yen Ling is young (40) and leather-clad!
She wants me to stay overnight at her place and take me shopping to revamp my wardrobe!(thigh high boots, tight fitting leather jackets) because I am dressed in my comfy baggy Tshirt and cropped pedalpushers with slippers for the 5-hour bus ride!
Hotel corridor was full of us relatives!
Country bumpkin Malaysian cousins meet modern and advanced cousins from cosmopolitan Shantou. In subsequent posts you can see how big and up-to-date Shantou is compared to KL which pales in comparison. KL is nothing but a kampung!
