Got at 4.30 this morning to hop onto the bus at 5.45 to get to

Grooving to the beat in Putrajaya

By LEE YEN MUN

Rosmah accepting a painting from Dr Ng at the carnival in Putrajaya.

Having a good time: The crowd dancing to songs which represented a multi-cultural Malaysia.

The original dance routine for the carnival involved a medley of the Malaysia Truly Asia and Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia songs as well as seven ethnic dances. This is the fourth time that the carnival has been organised and similar events will be held in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday and Kuching on Dec 16.

10.11.12 Cheras Flat Woo Pin Fish Head Noodle

Finally tried the Cheras Fish Head Noodle!
On Saturday, 10th November 2012, I was at school
to help the MUET students take their exam and help the invigilators
run the exam. After everything was going smoothly, I went for my
brunch.

                                         焦赖四楼鱼头米

I had to look for the famous fish head bee hoon, because the last time Auntie Lydia brought me there it was closed.
 Today, I found it:

"Perumahan Awam Sri Pulau Pinang Block 4" in Cheras, so near my school in Permaisuri.
Location: 4E, Pangsapuri Sri Pulau Pinang,
Jalan Ikan Emas, Cheras,
Kuala Lumpur.
Operating hours: 7.30 am to 3 pm (Off at Thursday)
Contact: 016-241054
This is the gigantic banner that also acted as a car shield as the tables took up a side of the road.
You can see the cars parked at the side and the customers sitting behind the banner.
 Located opposite the longhouses.
Cheras flat...I parked my car here.

 The Cheras Highway.
Lots of parking, so don't be afraid to come here.
 Inside the shop
Outside the shop, right on the road!
10 in the morning: very crowded already!!
 The combinations available
 Queues are starting!!
You can see newpaper testimonies and reports on the shop's popularity.
MY order came: not deepfried but fresh fish in milky soup with a dash of wine
The mee hoon is thick and stringy, transparent and springy with good bite
and I think they had the noodle specially factory made.
 the belacan chili was good!
 huge pieces of fish head
three types of condiments to go with you bowl
and a huge chunk of fish meat without bones
all gone!!! Only bones and some bee hoon left!!
Verdict: yummy goodness, very healthy, tasty, with fresh milk for nutrition
and chinese wine for fortification.
Price: RM10.50.
Today, 29 November, I went again with Pn Wu, but the original shop is closed. so we tried Heap Fatt.
You can compare this bowl with the one on top: Half the portion and half the price too!
For RM5..50 I got only some fish bones, no fish head, and no fish fillets.  Soup was salty and had no wine.
Layout of this shop is exactly like Woo Pin.
 But it is Heap Fatt.
Busy because Woo Pin is closed.
Verdict: Go for the original!
