For Mother's Day this year, my son and his girlfriend brought us to El Cerdo
What greeted us at the entrance to El Cerdo
Loaves of bread with minced pork spread
yummy sausages
succulent, juicy and tender
rack of spare ribs
succulent, juicy and tender (eh? like I've used these three words before...same description for these too!!)
my son
ritual of breaking plates (silly, because it seems stupid to break perfectly good plates)
half a suckling pig
so kesian, the pig!
chef took it back after the plate breaking ritual and chopped it for usson loved it, but I found it fatty, meatless and so kesian (pity the poor baby pig!!!)
seafood paella
lots of prawns, mussels and clams!!!
also had squids and fish! so good!!
wow!!! what a spread!!! bill came to RM400 plus pluscomplimentary drinks on the house: watermelon juice, martini and gin
entrance of the restaurant situated in busy Ceylon Raod, at Changkat Bukit Bintang
so bustling and busy at night
the drive back is an eye-opener: such a throbbing metropolis that is Bukit Bintang
Bukit Bintang night scenario
traffic jam too! on a Saturday night!
passing by Jalan Alor we were awed at the crowds
so much activity, and so many people up and about
so many stalls, and all were packed
staying in KL for more than 20 years, but not one night we exlpore here
except maybe one night when my nephew and his family from Singapore visited: I accompanied them here
it was a pleasant drive home: so much to see, so hip and happening
the ta pau or take away bag
so ironic, the picture of happy pigs, but their babies are sacrificed and their meat are enjoyed by diners
Happy mother's day!!!
(No, I am not turning vegetarian!!)
