On Boxing Day we went to the JPO Sales

 This is the new JPO....look at the cars!

In the end we just made a U turn at the car park and went home!

A Very Chritmassy Post!

Went for Dinner at Loh's

He opted for a catered dinner this year,

but I missed the turkey that he personally 

basted, with love.

This house is as close to the original as can be,

with the most minimal of renovations,

full of nooks and cranies, al fresco patios and verandahs,

one of the reason I chose this as our retirement nest.

Kiehl's (Cosmetics) Free Candy Floss

 Everyone loves candy floss.  This boy got a gob round a woolly mass of scrumptious spun sugar and made it look incredibly easy to whip out sticks of candy floss for shoppers at Pavilion.

This candy floss machine and maker (the boy lah) is free, a gimmick

supplied by Kiehl's.

 So hardworking! He stands there for hours, shaping the 

floss with his hands and the candy floss machine maker!

No need to go to the local funfair to get yours!!

For the date clashed with another important occasion for Prince Andrew’s highly social daughters — a trip to the Caribbean for the wedding of Sir Richard Branson’s daughter, Holly, 29.
The tycoon’s daughter yesterday married her long-time shipbroker boyfriend Freddie Andrews in a romantic ceremony on the sandy beach of Sir Richard’s £60 million privately-owned Necker Island. Beatrice, 23, and Eugenie, 21, are both close friends of Holly and wanted to be there for her big day.
All the same it is rare for royals to excuse themselves from the traditional family lunch, which is extended to minor royals not invited to spend Christmas at Sandringham on the Queen’s Norfolk estate.
‘It’s a sure sign that the Queen has mellowed a little,’ says a courtier. ‘It used to be the case that attendance at the lunch was as non-negotiable as Trooping The Colour is in the summer. Of course, with new family members to accommodate this year, perhaps there was quite relief the girls couldn’t attend.’

I caught it because I had some free tickets!

The town of Sami was selected by the producers of the film of the same name, as the ideal location to film the movie. The film Captain Corelli's Mandolin is an ambitious Holywood production which will surely make the beauty of Cephalonia known.


The beautiful Greek Island of Cephallonia was a peaceful jewel in the Ionian Sea until 1941 when the war ravaging Europe landed on its shores. Italian troops are sent to garrison the island and Captain Antonio Corelli (Nicolas Cage), a conscript sent to the foreign land, falls in love with a lovely local girl, Pelagia (Penelope Cruz), in "Captain Corelli's Mandolin."
