We were excited and expected to view peach blossoms rather like the Sakura Festival of Japan

We are to walk and climb rocky slopes to view peach blossoms (shown dotted) in all their splendour

nice or not?

close up of the blooms

the slope, if full of these flowers would have been great!

but....but.....but.....the season was over!!!!

all the blooms were gone! We were too late!

NVM, we had a pleasant climb, weather was exceedingly pleasingly cool

we had this guy as our unofficial guide, here he is teaching Jenn how to pose on a rock

she had to be coaxed and helped (nay, carried) to perch precariously on the denuded top

next...this is how you should hug and hang from the trunk

huh? no way am I going to be some baby panda or gibbon or sloth

next, he turns his attention to this group: now you push the rock to give the delusion that you are Samson rolling the boulder down

Is this the way? One is trying to be David and Goliath, the other thinks he is Hercules, carrying the world on his shoulders.

this two just pose kinda cutesy and pretty

Now he demonstrates the art of echo and ventriloquism

Uncle can't resist capturing what's left of the blossoms

Now, NOW, he is teaching Uncle how to hold the flower and look at it with emo

I couldn't help giggling when he went all poetic and dramatic: "Kan che hwa, pha ni sin sang de swo you de piao ching piaw sien cho lai, ..." ....."Pour out your feelings, let your overflow of powerful emotions express itself and show on your face towards the peach blossom...".and he proceeded to gaze at the flower longingly and lovingly....I hoped I managed to capture the look!
