You Paid for your wedding?
Well, she made money from hers!
The Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries wedding, which took place on a Montecito estate August 20, reportedly cost anywhere from $500,000 (The Hollywood Reporter) to
$10 million (New York Post)
BUT
KIM K did not spend any money on her wedding, she instead made over RM53 million from the wedding ceremony turned media extravaganza. They will be paid:
$18 million from exclusive rights to videos, photographs and stories —
$15 million alone for a four-hour, two-part special on E! Entertainment,
"Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event,"
produced by Ryan Seacrest to air in October.
That's not all, she also got....
1. free $20,000 wedding gown by designer Vera Wang, as well as two other Wang gowns, each $20-25,000,
2. free $15-20,000 six-foot, 10-tier black and white wedding by Hansen Bakery, which was inspired by
Prince William and Kate’s wedding cake
;
3. free $400,000 for Perrier-Jouet champagne
4. free $150,000 for Kim’s hair and make-up used for photo shoots and videos
The list goes on extensively right down to Kim’s 20-carat diamond engagement ring, which Kris bought at a considerable discount.
People and businesses are giving her free stuff because a mere association with Kim and her clan means more clientele for businiesses and Kris (her mum) got them to look at this wedding as an opportunity to advertise their goods.
Kim's was a strapless gown with a fitted bodice, a traditionally-cut tulle skirt and a super long train, according to E! Her shoes were Guiseppe Zanotti and her hair was in an up-do, topped off by a jeweled headpiece and veil. |
Kim wore an ivory Vera Wang and the bridesmaids wore ivory (not green!). |
After the ceremony, Kim changed into a second ivory-colored Vera Wang mermaid gown featuring some incredible detail. With Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and a skirt with organza petals mingling with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery, Kim was a vision of radiance. |
Kris has helped her family make RM193 million last year and she purposely leaked details of Kim's wedding daily right up to the day of the wedding. She knows how to keep the moolah flowing in!
Vera Wang sponsored her 3 Vera Wang gowns valued at RM45,0000 each |
But that didn’t stop her from changing into yet ANOTHER dress as the night wore on — once more ivory Vera Wang. This third gown was a crepe-back, V-neck satin gown with a circle skirt, which she stayed in for the remainder of the night. |

.Who says money can’t buy happiness? Well, it takes money to make money. The entire black and white wedding affair, according to MSN Entertainment, will profit KIM and her family!
Take a look at Kim's $2 million ring |
Instead of giving wedding gifts, the guests all received gifts in goodie bags: flip flops bejeweled with a stone fashioned after Kim’s engagement ring, Kim Kardashian perfume and four Kim-designed nail polishes with event-related names like “Glowing to the Wedding,” and a gift certificate for shoes (perhaps Kardashian designed).

Kim’s engagement ring; Designed by Lorraine Schwartz, the ring is a “bright, custom created 20.5 carat, and has three inscriptions, two biblical”. Oh, did we mention it cost $2 million. |

So nice for her to get a dream wedding for free + make money from it!
On the radio here there was a game. The girl has to propose to the guy over the radio and if he says yes to getting married in 1month's time the radio will sponsor them 20,000 wedding. Two girls had their bf say no. Finally one proposal got through
This radio game reminds me of our kursus, we had to send "I love You" message (sms) to our husbands...papa immediately replied, and I won points for my group, one teacher said her husband will scold her and he did! exactly what she said (I forgot the malay term!)....sooo funny!
So crazy, the way Kris (the mother) and Kim managed to get sponsors, endorsements etc for everything, they make a lot of money already, and Ken and J always watch their show.
