Jennifer's Chicken Soup

One night I had a surprise visitor from Piu Mui and her husband, all the way from Kepong...

My cousin brought me soup when she heard I was discharged from hospital.

Double boiled chicken soup with chinese herbs like tong quai and wolfberries made by her mother-in-law

With chunky pieces of chicken (skinless)

I am so touched

enjoying the soup, Jenn loved the soft chicken.

It nourishes a sick me and nurtures my health after my operation. There was so much, Ken had a bowl, and Papa and Ivan too! Jenn ate up all the chicken as she had never tasted such soft tan kai chicken.

Thank you, Cousin!!!!

Ran Out of File Space for Blog Pics!!

I have encountered a problem: I posted too many pictures, all of them in their original size (En Yusri in his blog course has advised us to re-size, but I did not heed his advice because it took up too much time!) and used up all the file space for photos!!!

So you notice that I have not been putting up any post!

Even my last one was TERGENDALA..... held up due to technical problems!!

Sue, help!!! Get me my own dot.com!!!

Or, I may have to delete old posts!!!!

I thought we had reached Penang bridge!!

I have to publish this post here, because all my other pictures fail to upload!! even after I had downsized them...I have exceeded my file size!!!!

E&O Hotel in 1995 and 2010

In Penang for the doctors' reunion, we had the dinner at the E&O Hotel, at the room called the 1885.  The next morning we met there again to gather for our walkabout heritage tour.  It gave us a good opportunity for some Kodak moments because many, many years ago, in 1995, when the two big ones were young, we stayed at the E&O!!!

Now

 then (In 1995)

my two small kids walking on the beach frontage in 1995

zoom to the present: the skyline now

those houses you see in the above picture has been left to ruins

 dilapidated, abandoned and condemned.

My two adorable bigger children! Way before my youngest was born!!! I am so blessed!!!

the very cannon that my kids sat on
I was told this stretch got pounded by tsunami waves in 2004
it has since been repaired, and I caught this lady sunning herself

we are now aging and alone
we really prefer to travel and holiday with our children!

now, we travel with oldies!!!!

Bye!! E&O Hotel will always be beckoning you!!!
