13 June 2015 The Walk to Hotel Furama to jump on the Beach!!!

Ee is taking us to the beach to make the jump!

eh??? hahaha...these are not us lah...we girls are in our 50s and 60s and do not have nubile bodies anymore leh....

Silly us...we hailed 2 taxis to take us to Hotel Furama

but no taxi will take us, so we had to walk!!

 We walked!! Actually the taxi wouldn't take us because Hotel Furama is just opposite our hotel!

Hahaha!! such honest cabbies who did not fleece us tourists and take us in their taxi to a destination that is just across the road!!

 so, we have reached Furama Resort

 It is such a nice hotel and we feel so touristy we took so much photos!!

 This hotel has a beautiful beach frontage.

 and five star facilities..no we did not stay here, we access the beach from here

 Club 99, a casino that got our gambler wannabe friends hooked..."Look Club 99 Casino", we both say...so sua koo hor?

while we were so caught up with posing, the rest have already gone to beach and have started posing in the round boat.....they are so far off they are tiny specks!!! hahaha!!!

so we ran and caught up with them!!! we are patiently waiting for Ee and her husband to finish taking photos so we can take pics too on the round boat.

 Did I tell you that the temperature was 39 degrees centigrade? And that this is only about 7 0r 8 oclock in the morning? And that we were dressed formally because we wanted to go to the casino afterwards???? hehe!

But not always!! we had to do the jump many times!! either he was not ready or I was not ready!!!

Finally!!! Look at how nicely Dad is jumping????? OMG!!! We are on the threshold of our 60's LOL! We are not young but we can jump!!

and luckily we were early, because after our gruelling photo session where all of us jumped and rowed (pretend rowing lah) the real fsihermen came and rowed the round boat away.

Han Market, Danang

In Danang, we went dining and shopping at Han Market ....an experience you will never forget!!!

Han Market puts all your mainstream market, mega-mall, convenience mart,  pasar malams, pasar pagi, pasar borong...what-have-you....to shame, except maybe, well, Pasar ? of Terengganu (let me find the name ah, I have forgotten...I am preAlzheimer case already)..I remember now...it is Pasar Payang of Terengganu, an open air market that can match this maybe

 wow!!!! well stocked with goods ranging from dried produce from the sea to clothes and shoes, bags

 this is the road that shows the market and the bustling sidewalk

 bustling and busy road too, but not as riddled with motorbikes as Ho Chi Min city

the difference here could be: you are not so afraid of pickpockets and bag snatchers as you would be in Kuala Lumpur...sorry!!!...but I am just stating facts!!!

you can even make eye contact with friendly Vietnamese locals and know there is no ulterior motive!

shoes galore! you may not get Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blahniks but you can get a good bargain

They are so serious, they are given stools to sit on while doing their shopping!

Now, have you ever seen people shopping while sitting down?

you just sit down, and point to what you want,

they will wrap for you

then pay lah, with dong or USD

see?  after getting a packet, she ask for free gifts

and the girl will put some dried sweet fruits in a packet for us to munch!!

the poor salesgirl....she is scratching her head!!

Aye!!! such demanding tourists!!

they drive a hard bargain!

and they want me to convert to dong then to USD!!!

You can choose the material you like, get yourself measured and this tailor will sew it for you on the spot

I decided to finish up my remaining small denominations of dong by getting some fridge magnets

wah.....how to choose?

looks good enough to eat, but they are actually mini resin bowls of the real thing

 while choosing the fridge magnets we decided to take photos..look at the salesgirl in green

 we asked a viet boy to take us, but we were not prepared for the salesgirl to be also posing with us!!! hahaha!!

 You can not go hungry, all sorts of affordable food for you to choose from

Meanwhile, meet the men,,,,,,,, what do they do while waiting for the women???

 wait! patiently!!

our breakfast was also here because it was near the hotel.

and this is the onlly thing I bought from the market, plus a Danang and Japanese Bridge magnets
