Come Back to Batu Pahat, We're taking the next flight to Johor

Tuesday, 22 December 2015
This news article will make you cry. I nearly did. You see, I am from Batu Pahat too. And my first tour was from Chiu Travel all those years ago.

Chiang Mai bus crash: Relatives conduct prayers at accident site

All of them wept openly at the sight before them – passenger seats, bags, clothes, shoes, food packets, soft toys, and even tickets to a tourist attraction strewn all over the place.
Watch the video here:
CHIANG MAI: "Come back, come home where you belong," they called out to the pieces of wreckage, hoping to catch the attention of their loved ones' souls .
All the deceased are from Batu Pahat, Johor.
About seven family members of the Malaysians killed in the bus crash along Highway 118 in the Doi Saket district here participated in ritual prayers at the site of the accident on Tuesday.
During the 30-minute ritual led by three Buddhist monks, the next-of-kin openly wept and repeatedly said the names of the deceased out loud, calling for them to return to their homeland.
"It's time to come home, please follow us back home. Please don't stay here, this is not a good place," they said fervently.
One next-of-kin, who lost more than one family member in the horrifying incident, got down on his knees and prayed for the loved ones he missed.
A woman, learnt to a staff member from Chiu Travel Sdn Bhd, shouted the names of everyone, including tour leader Png Ee Ting, 23, to return to Batu Pahat, Johor.
"You're a very strong girl Ee Ting. Bring everyone home.
"Everyone here, its time to go home. We're taking the next flight back to Johor" the woman shouted in Mandarin.
Towards the end of the prayer session, family members were ushered to the centre of the crash site, where they lit incense sticks before placing offerings in containers made of banana stems around the area.
The heart-wrenching sight of family members crying and shouting out the names of the deceased around the area also spurred a few locals living nearby to come over and make offerings.
Police and hospital volunteers were also on hand to provide support and console family members, who later returned to the Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai hospital to claim the bodies of the 13 deceased Malaysians.

A Royal Thai Air Force Hercules C130 plane containing 13 coffins took off from the Wing 41 Chiang Mai Military Airport at 10.55pm Thailand time Tuesday.
The loading was done in accordance with Buddhist rituals, with a monk present to conduct the ceremony.
The bodies of 13 Malaysians killed in a bus crash here have been sent back to Malaysia.

10 October 2015 Irene Yong's son wedding

My best, best friend from dancing class, Irene Yong had already booked me long ago for her son's wedding...when I was in Perth, she chided me,,"Loo, aren't you coming home to attend my son's wedding dinner? I won't forgive you if you don't" of course, I had already blocked my calendar for it, but I had forgotten my dance teacher's bday party dance and went on a Perth holiday!!
Btw Irene was the first to visit me when I was hospitalised for dengue, that's how good a friend she is to me.

Invitation to TSL Cocktail Event

Today I attended TSL Cocktail Event at the Gardens,

Took me some time to get there because it was a Friday and Xmas shopping is at its frenzied peak!

Here I am outside TSL having collected my door gift.
 Cocktail and drinks had started
wow!!! at RM190 per gram gold price, this must cost an astronomical sum!
Ladies had already started serious shopping as there was 55% off for jewellery but not gold, so I did not want to start my "daughter-in-law" shopping for gold yet.
so I had some nifty bites....they looked too good eat!
 I took one of each
the chicken (with yellow flower) but not the tomato (with white flower)
the desserts came and again, I got one of each!
treats are by Nathalie from Publika

Then I had lobster (in a spoon) and also some mini burgers

There was going to be a second round of fashion show (the first one had started) but I did not wait, but went shopping instead.

Halloween Party 31 October 2015 at Jan's

Now this is a real late post! hahaha! Oh well, better late than never!

I had a wonderful Halloween night, thanks to Jan for the invite, as her themed parties are equal to none!
The hostess with the mostest, dressed as the red devil with a giant triton
me in my daughter's blouse and a hat that I bought from IOI Mall for only RM5!
her sis who is my sis's classmate!
gosh, her food is always scrumptious, and this lamb or whatever meat is most tempting!!
I always meet Stephanie and she is now my clubbing kaki, only I haven't made time to go "auntie clubbing" with her yet.
had to take a pic of ONE of her great desserts
this is only a section of the dessert table, and only the DESSERT part, I did not take the MAIN FOOD part, hai......! I came late due to the torrential rains!

with Alice's husband whom I think deserve credit for coming up with his costume that he designed and made himself.
hahah? like the result?  three thumbs up for creativity.
sexy Joy, she is so hyperactive she has no time to eat and takes pictures frantically, more than me!
Kim came as the French Maid...very expensive maid, according to her
I love the mobiles, made by Jan's daughter
okay lah, another view of the desserts for you

Below are her Halloween decor around the house
and the pictures are from her...not me, because it was dark when I arrived.

And if you are interested, I can show you the other guests' costumes (and THE COSTUMES!!) but that warrant another blog post by itself!!!
