Nate goes to Finns Cafe

Every time lil Nate goes on his cafe rounds Grandma goes too because that’s what a grandma is for: entertaining him the car while mummy drives to the new destination.

Gosh he’s all curled up and snoozing I could just stare at him whole day...I’m mesmerized!

We have reached Finns Cafe! I’ve already decided on the lunch set!

Finns Cafe: 41-1 Jalan Temenggung 11/9 , Bandar Mahkota Cheras

Look at the yummy food on display!

Its absolutely kid friendly too! With a nook for kiddies to explore.

You can get down to the nitty gritty of changing soiled diapers!

Mum’s double duty: food looks at her while she nourishes her bub.

Another nourishment station in progress.

Me? I can drink my coffeee

And have my lunch

Such delicious pork chop!! Grilled to perfection!

Such a colorful and flavorful poke bowl! With gravy soaked rice at the bottom!

Lunch set comes with bottomless jasmine tea

Pumpkin on toast

Breakfast set

BBGS girls meet up...some are parents already!

5 classmates 2 babies and a toddler (not in the pic)

With Janette (no babe in arms) owner of the cafe, also my student in MBS

Me and my little family!

I highly recommend this cafe because look!! How cosy! So inviting! With a homely feel!

Janette’s toddler demonstrates how friendly the place is!

My view from my cuppa

Lunch set also comes with home made freshly baked cake with a dollop of fresh cream and pomegranate seeds..so yummy! And because I was her teacher once she gave me a whole cake to take home!
Janette also undertake events at her place and makes scrumptious cupcakes and themed cakes too.

Nate goes to Owl’s Cafe New Chapter

Been to Owls Cafe New Chapter a few times but this time with 5 month old infant in tow and it’s pretty child- friendly!
Parking was a breeze and the walk to the cafe was pleasant , easy and scenic because of the raised land that the Calvary Convention Centre is on, there’s a landscaped park and a golf course view!

They gave us seats with  enough space to park the baby pram.

Sue met  up with an old school friend from BBGS!

View of Bukit Jalil Golf.

First time I had hot rose Latte!

Baby sat while daughter and her old classmate do some catching up. Look! He wants it too! Eying my rose latte instead of smiling for camera.

Always end up having this creamy curry seafood 🍝!

Sue wanted David waffles because she likes peanut butter.

Babe wanted his nourishment too!

Look at his tiny hand! He freed it and waved it at me! Girl in cape behind is also breastfeeding!

Singapore’s Jewel

Of late I’ve seen many many posts on social media on The Jewel Changi Airport, especially The Rain Voetex. So, we are in Singapore now and though it did not cross our mind to visit Jewel, WE FOUND OURSELVES IN JEWEL!!

Baby made it to the Rain Vortex

So did we!!!!

No lah, you can’t touch the water or spray, there’s a barrier but that’s how everyone poses!

Awesome right? And it seems there’s some pyrotechnics display at night... must be quite spectacular!

The world’s tallest indoor waterfall (man made though)

It’s a holiday for kids “Youth Day” today 8 July, and my niece brings her 2 kids for a day out and it was she who got us here.

The 5 th Level!

Level 5 is called Canopy Park.

At level 5 there are a lot of activities for kids and youths like Hedge Maze, Mirror Maze, Slides, nature and topiary walks etc .. but there were queues everywhere and tickets need to be bought!

So nice and bustling!!!!! 5 levels to explore... plus lots of trendy cafes and specialty shopping. Here you can actually see a train passing through!

So, do visit Jewel! It opened a few months ago, April 2019 to be exact, and everybody has been raving about it!

Black Pepper Crabs 🦀 at Eng Seng, Spore

Andrew T took us for such a yummy honest- to-goodness black pepper crabs at Eng Seng...so good the 2 young girls polished up everything EVERYTHING!!! So good to be young!

This is Eng Seng restaurant (247 Joo Chiat Place, Spore)

It’s opposite this antique building and that’s my car (my car photo lah)

Most wonderful Mee goreng! We also had a few other stock zichar (siu chau) dishes like ku lou yook, fried chicken 🍗 taufu...

Teng Teng Teng.....here comes the star dish ... you have to call in to book ya...

Each piece evenly coated with a concoction of black pepper and unknown sauces that are peppery and piquant, with a hint of sweetness all tossed with enough wok hei and each piece was huge with thick flesh that was juicy, fresh and most yummy!!!

Every one wanted to take a food pic.

Look how big the claw is?

Right in your face bigness

Nom

We each had our share of some good servings each and there were a a few left and we contemplated ta pau-ing them for my elder daughter at home.

But there they go..Nom nom nom

Hmmmmmm!! Mmmmm

All finished!!! I kid you not!!
