Ex Beauty Queen launches travel Book

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Miss Malaysia Universe 1990 Datuk Anna Lim published her third book yesterday.
Titled Magical Moments of Malaysia, the coffee-table book weighs 5kg and features reviews of 86 five-star hotels in the country, accompanied by illustrations.
Deputy Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum launched her book.
Lim wrote her first book Beauty and Beyond in 2005 and her second, Children: The Future of Tomorrow, in 2007.
Lim said it took her two years of travelling and research to complete the book.
She added that she dedicated her book to those who loved to travel, and to foreign tourists and Malaysians who would like to sample the country's uniqueness and charm.
"Malaysia has a lot to offer. We have lush tropical jungles, colourful marine life and beautiful mountains.
"Tourists can now explore these natural wonders and our diverse culture while relaxing in a luxurious setting."
Lim said her favourite holiday destination in Malaysia was Langkawi.
"There is so much to do and see in Langkawi. They also have some of the world-class hotels like The Datai, Casa del Mar, The Four Seasons and Bon Ton.
"I love staying at The Datai as I can get in touch with nature. Sometimes, I will take my children on my trips and they love watching the hornbills, white-faced monkeys and eagles that live in the jungle surrounding the hotel," said the mother of three.
She said the book would be available in bookstores nationwide.
A copy costs RM199.
Lim also celebrated her birthday yesterday. Among the guests were model Amber Chia and Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Donald Lim.
