After a mini reunion with my Convent girls
(Soo Boo and Lee Choo
should have joined us!) I went for a reunion with TIGS girls.
In my hometown, there were 2 girls' school at that time: and you were
either a Convent or Tigs girl. Some convent girls became tigs girls
when they had to switch schools if they wanted to pursue Science Stream.
Of course, I qualified for the Science stream, but I had decided early in life
that I had wanted to be a writer or journalist, or something like that (I became
neither!) so I stayed back in ARTS.
All the tigs girls and some convent girls who made it for the 40th reunion
some from as far as Hawaii, Australia and England.
It was held in this hotel which is situated right opposite
my father's shophouse that I grew up in.
A cosy and compact boutique hotel with a riot of colours at the foyer.
Trendy tigs old girl meeting the teachers.
My friend Nora, (I wished I had known her when young,
but back then, we did not have much socialising opportunities
and definitely no facebook!)
Awesome old girl who made it big down under
These are my convent and tigs friends whom I go to High School with.
