Janet, our dance instructor's birthday falls on 30 May
and we had a pre bday dinner for her at HanWooRi
Han Woo Ri Korean BBQ Restaurant @ One Ampang Avenue
the decor at Hanwoori :
each dining area is made cosy by being on raised platforms
and rendered private with discreet vertical wooden slats that demarcated each zone
seating for a party of 6 or 8
Our drinks accompaniment
Bee Ngoh, Kelly and Sylvia
OUR BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!
Tall and Leggy,
she had a Angelina Jolie moment and showed a leg!
Our Taman Billion line dance group
This is what we ordered:
Two sets No 13, and 1 No 14 at RM27 x 3
Garcon did the grilling for us
RM27 each portion
When done, he cut them up into smaller pieces on serving plate
You put the meat on salad with garlic, sesame oil salt or whatever condiments
you fancy, roll it and pop it in your mouth, like they do in Korean dramas.
What our table looks like: lots of side dishes adorn the table
closer view of side dishes (free)
We had hot kim chi soup (kim chi jeon gol): it had white tauhu, rice vermicelli, lots of cabbage in kim chi chilli paste, white rice cake and chives...tastes hot, sour and had a strong chili paste taste.
RM60
kim chi soup surrounded by a stunning array of side dishes
then we had hot pot bi bim bap
waiter mixed it all up for us: had a hard crusted bottom and there was more vegetables than rice...
RM19
RM40
then we had cold glass noodle soup called mul neng

you had to douse it with mustard and vinegar,
Mrs Choy found it sour enough without having to add
