On Saturday 19 May 2012 we teachers had our hi tea at 

the Museum Chinese Restaurant at Sunway Putra Hotel, 

previously known as Legend Hotel.

Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur ( formerly known as The Legend Hotel & Apartments, Kuala Lumpur) in Peninsular Malaysia is beautifully designed with a breathtaking view of the magnificent Kuala Lumpur’s city skyline. Famous landmarks surrounding Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur ( formerly known as The Legend Hotel & Apartments, Kuala Lumpur) in Peninsular Malaysia include the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), The Mall shopping centre, historic commercial and government buildings and many other that is just close proximity with the Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur ( formerly known as The Legend Hotel & Apartments, Kuala Lumpur).

 being on the 9th floor, there was a good view of KL town

 I wanted to see what they saw

 A historical sight: the site of the derivation of KL's name

 Kuala Lumpur means muddy confluence, and the

picture actually shows the muddy two rivers meeting!

 Nothing else to do, no more food to eat, so went to the Ladies and took pics

 went to the Culpuper Herbalist and browsed around

Then I went down to the Mall: where once Yaohan used to operate

The first Yaohan store was opened in The Mall, Kuala Lumpur in 1987. It was later followed by Plaza OUG and Bandar Park in Jalan Klang Lama, and KOMTAR, Penang. Later it opened in Terminal 1, Seremban in 1996 and Sunway Pyramid, Subang Jaya in Sept 1997. All former stores were replaced by Aktif Lifestyle Corporation Bhd. and later Parkson

 Parkson has replaced Yaohan, I took a trip down memory lane, I used to bring my two big children here to shop, eat and they even joined the "Small World of Yaohan" a kiddie club.

 The atrium at the Mall, mostly unoccupied and deserted, I did not go up to the foodcourt, the last I
checked. most of them had relocated: too painful for me to view the ghost-like empty stalls.

 so I walked around Parkson (o how I missed Yaohan!) and saw these towering Bonias

 and a billboard of Guess bag and uber chic ankle booties

Even Legend Hotel has changed its name to Sunway Putra Hotel...................................waves of nostalgia swept over me and I left The Mall Yaohan or rather Parkson, and the Legend or rather Sunway Putra and drove halfway across Kuala Lumpur back to my house.
