During the school holidays in June,
I went to Publika with my daughter, at Dutamas
Here it is, the entrance to PUBLIKA at Hartamas
Big Pantry, stands for Ben's Independent Grocer
What an array of crockery, even a little girl is engrossed
She thinks it is for "masak masak"
(a make believe children's game using minature cook sets)
see though kitchen
the area where the live cooking demo will be held
this is what my future walk-in crockery pantry will look like
for soups condiments and sauces
to show you how big it is...all items are for sale
of course...Daniel Green's cookbooks
He is such a prolific producer of cookbooks, methinks I am going to challenge him when I retire
lots of cafes within the independent grocer
not only can you do your grocery shopping here, you can hang out and have a drink...
or two.....
Don't chide Mum if she comes back late from the week's grocery stock up...she had yum cha with the girls
even has trees and sidewalks to simulate street hawkers or mamak culture
the array of goods for your picking...prices slightly inflated though...for all the ambiance createda walk around Publika revealed lots of quirky seats, all of different designs
like this: geometrical shapes that defy gravity because they do not have legs
gigantic hat and coat stand
graffitti defaced seat that looked like they were tangerine oranges boxes from last Chinese New Year
incredible that they could become some seats in a posh shopping mall
this reminds me of Ikea's magazine stand, the one that you mount on the wall
view of Publika from the escalator
landscaped walkways outside
all at Solaris Dutamas
