Damansara Empire: Mr Tuk Tuk

Since it’s a public holiday (which is a replacement for yesterday Sunday’s Haj 11/8/2019) we decided to check out  malls that we haven’t been before. It was down to Empire Subang Gallery (he hasn’t been there but I’ve gone there so many times ) and Empire Damansara : touted to be the biggest mall in the country! Yes, it is... the biggest failed mall in the country! Sad, right?

Started building in 2013, it’s now 2019!

I took this signage off my car window.

Once inside we found everything shut down and the escalators not working...Boat Noodle, Caring Pharmacy etc were all closed. Only Nelson’s Corn in a Cup and Mr Tuk Tuk was open to cater for the skating crowd (only because today is a holiday?)

Our water and Jasmine Tea with cute baby elephant cup

What else? Pineapple fried rice

My sea food Tom kha

Hat from Mr Tuk Tuk!

Only the My Niss Skating Rink is still around, everywhere all other shops are closed!

I found out that MyNiss is the country’s National Skating ring

“The mall building hosts an ice skating rink  dubbed as the Empire City Ice Arena or the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium (MyNISS). The 1,800 sq m, 600-seater (5,000 standing capacity) facility is Olympic-regulated and has full equipment to host major international tournaments”
(From Wiki)

A pity too... there used to be so many nice eateries here ...all gone now.
