We hosted a home dinner for the family,
especially the out-of-towners
Aunties' Talk!!
I ta-pau ed all the food!! trotters (crispy knuckle), a duck, prawns
assam fish head, half herbal chicken, half salt baked chicken, a whole
Ipoh taugeh chicken minus taugeh, home made veg deluxe, salad, pineapple fried
rice from Aunt Bessie, and desserts/pastries from Tong Kee (cheese cake,
strawberry cake, egg tarts, cheese tarts, coconut and almonds tarts)
cupcakes from Beryl
diy curry laksa and century salted egg peanut porridge from the hawkers
My main course was from Tai Ka Fish Head Restaurant.
I will go back for the knuckle, but not the assam fish,
it was too tricky for guests esp buffet style.
