Hairy Crabs!

Mrs Tam invited us to her house for hairy crabs dinner on Wednesday night. (We had a long day, Angie taught, we had dim sum yumcha, I taught, then we attended a school staff meeting from 3.45 to 6.30.
At 6.45  Karen Suyen opened the door of the lecture to call us out.
When we reached Mrs Tam's flat, the girls had already finished their dinner.

You are late..., Mrs Tam said.
The girls cleared up the table.
Our share of the crabs!!!
Cherry, Mrs. Tam's 12 year old daughter helped us to prepare the crabs for dinner.
See the thick black hair? Hairy crab!! Mrs. Tam ordered them specially from China.
Chong Yen Fang holds up a hairy crab.
Wait!!! my hand is shaking! ngor sau chan says Chong

Okay, no more shake.......see the hair on the claws?

Anthony shows a prepared crab.
He does not eat crabs, only chicken rice!

Yummy and substantial.
Meanwhile, Mrs Tam was in the chicken steaming the crabs.
She kept bringing out endless servings of crabs! Crabs still in paper bags

Washed, scrubbed,soaked and steamed with ginger.

Angie does not dare to eat the roe, she only eats the meat from the legs and claws
So, I gave her my legs and claws!Wah! Feast!
Rueann, Karen Suyen and Chong also enjoys hairy crab roeWe had so many!

Thanks to Mrs Tam, the first time we tasted hairy crabsbags from the students in a special roomThe students are going back, they came straight from schoolMrs Tam gave Karen Suyen a Hello Kitty doll
And all of us a goody bag (tea set, almond ginger paste, Macau pineapple jam biscuits, dried meat, egg rolls, and candy)
That was not the end of our night. Next, we went to Temple Street!!
We really maixmised our trip!
