What's going on at Lahad Datu.

Lahad Datu......
Shooting began at 10.30am.

‎''STOP THE WAR! STOP THIS SENSELESS VIOLENCE! If any of you 'men in authority' want to solve this land ownership dispute, take it to the international courts. These acts of bloodshed have just gone too far. These men were our brothers, cousins, uncles and fathers, and you selfish, irresponsible 'men in authority' took them away from us. Shame on you! No, it is not sweet and noble to just go out and die for one's country for no reason. The Latin saying 'Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori' is nothing but a blatant lie.'' #Love-in-Lahad-Datu #Peace-in-Lahad-Datu #Love-in-Semporna #Peace-in-Semporna #Pray-for-peace-in-SEA

Lahad Datu is the village where hundreds of followers of Sultan Jamalul, led by his brother Agbimuddin Kiram, had encamped since Feb 11 despite repeated demands from the Malaysian government to leave.
“The group of Kiram at Lahad Datu escaped and ran towards the sea, 10 men surrendered,” Hernandez said.
Malaysian authorities are pursuing the group, Hernandez added.
The owner of the house where Agbimuddin Kiram had stayed was also killed, according to Kassim.

PETALING JAYA: The Sultanate of Sulu is seeking a ceasefire with Malaysian armed forces in Lahad Datu, saying that the group of gunmen need time to bury their dead.

“Malaysia is a Muslim nation so they should understand that we need to bury our dead,” said Abraham Idjirani, secretary-general of the purported sultanate and spokesman for self-proclaimed Sulu Ruler Sultan Jamalul Kiram III.

“I hope Malaysia will reconsider its position,” he said in a telephone interview from Manila on Friday.

Idjirani claimed that numbers in the original group of 235 people had reduced after 10 were shot dead by armed forces.

Of the 10 dead, one was a woman. Four were wounded.

The group, holed up in the seaside village of Tanduo, is led by Jamalul's brother, Raja Muda Azzimudie Kiram.

Idjirani said Azzimudie intended to hold on to his position as their purpose for storming Tanduo - to live in peace and have the Malaysian government recognise their ownership of the state - remained the same.

He also claimed that the Malaysian forces had attempted to dig their way in to the area at around 6am Thursday but soon withdrew.

The shooting began at 10.30am.

It was reported in the Phillipines' media that 10 of the group, who dubbed themselves the Royal Army of Sulu, had been arrested.

MANILA (AFP): Followers of a Philippine sultan who crossed in to Sabah last week will not leave and are reclaiming the area as their ancestral territory, the sultan said Sunday amid a tense standoff.
Sultan Jamalul Kiram said his followers - some 400 people, including 20 gunmen - were resolute in staying despite being cornered by security forces, with the Kuala Lumpur government insisting the group return to the Philippines.
"Why should we leave our own home? In fact they (the Malaysians) are paying rent (to us)," he told reporters in Manila.
"Our followers will stay in (the Sabah town of) Lahad Datu. Nobody will be sent to the Philippines. Sabah is our home," he said.
The sultan did not directly threaten violence but said "there will be no turning back for us".
Malaysian officials have said that many of the group have weapons, but Kiram insisted his followers made the trip unarmed.
"If they have arms, they were already in Sabah," the sultan said.
The southern Philippine-based Islamic sultanate once controlled parts of Borneo, including the site of the stand-off, and its heirs have been receiving a nominal yearly compensation package from Malaysia under a long-standing agreement for possession of Sabah.
Kiram said he was prompted to send the group to Sabah after the sultanate was left out of a framework agreement sealed in October between Manila and Filipino Muslim rebels, which paves the way for an autonomous area in the southern Philippines that is home to the Muslim minority of the largely-Christian nation.
The sultanate's spokesman, Abraham Idjirani, later said the sultan's brother Raja Muda Abimuddin Kiram, who led the group to Sabah, had told him via telephone that the party was preparing to stay.
"The objective is to reside now in that place permanently, considering the sultanate owns Sabah by rights of sovereignty," he told AFP.
Idjirani said there were about 400 followers of the sultanate in the area, including about 20 who were armed.
On Thursday, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein put the number at between 80 to 100 gunmen.
Idjirani said the group would not instigate violence but would resist if provoked.
"We recognise the capability of Malaysia. We don't have the arms and capacity but we have the historical truth," he said, adding that the group's "fate is to see the recognition they are entitled to... or they die defending their ancestral rights".
Idjirani said President Benigno Aquino's senior aides had been in contact with the sultan and were willing to deliver a letter to the Malaysian government on his behalf for negotiations.

Pencerobohan di #LahadDatu: mari kita dengar penjelasan dari rakyat sabah sendiri...

Kwn2, allow me a moment of indulgence to clear the foul stench of stupidity amongst the malaysians. Kes kat LD is nothing new to us sabahans, in the 90s they abruptly came to the shore at Semporna and immediately bombed the police stations, and went amuck at the town.

They are smart people, some left at the sea naik dr kwsn bakau and lived 4 6 mth b4 start to mingle with locals and married them. The tausugs in LD now didn't came all at once, instead they came in batches, with inside helping frm their family at the village. Trust me they have been there at least 2 3 mth b4 the group bcomes complete, then they decide its time to wage war. Klu tak paham rules of engagement, jgnlah menunjuk pandai ckp bukan2 kata kerajaan lemau, ada hati nak banding dgn Bersih.

Polis kene masuk dulu sbb dorg trained as negotiators, tentera is the last resort as they will not spare anyone once commanded. They need time to ensure all the locals are out of the village and then cut their food and finance sources, hoping the tausugs will surrender. That is our rules of engagement. We are not barbaric stoic like the american soldiers.

Yg pandai ckp je kt media skrg ni cuba bg arahan btukar kt sbh ke swk, meraung bwk keturunan naik turun ofis merayu xnak dok sana, tp mulut mcm haram mengutuk semua yg tlibat kt LD kata klu dorg kt sana lama dah setel. Kene suntik kt spital pun pejam mata mengucap2, tgk darah pun pitam lagi nak g perang.

Those who went in and died today knew they might not come back alive, as that was their vow when inducted to the force. So please, belajar dr sejarah, nak blajar sejarah kene bnyk membaca, sbb tu org kita ramai jd mcm ni, mulut ngan otak tak sama frekuensi, bhs biadapnya bangang abadi. Fedup with their stupidity. Thank u for ur moment.

Postpone you holidays to the islands off Sabah

The war at Lahad Datu : let's hear the explanation from the Sabah citizens themselves....
Friends, allow me a moment of indulgence to clear the foul stench of stupidity amongst the malaysians.  The case in Lahad Datu is nothing new to us Sabahans, in the 90s they abruptly came to the shore at Semporna and immediately bombed the police stations. and went amuck at the town.

They are smart people, some left at the sea, came to the interior jungle and lived 4 6 months before they start to ming;e with locals and married them.  The tausugs in Lahad Datu didn't come all at once, instead they came in batches, with
inside helping from their family at the village.  Trust me they have been there at least 2 3 months before the group becomes complete, then they decide it's time to wage war.  If you do not understand the rules of engagement, do not show arrogance talking crap saying the government is "lemau" , comparing them with Bersih.

Translation: those who are good at talking esp to the media try to give orders to change from Sabah to Sarawak, citing issues of descendancy, go up and down the office pleading that they do not want to stay there, the mouth speaks, very good at cciticising all who are involved in Lahad Datu saying if they stay there long enough, all would be settled.  Even a small injection in hospital they close their eyes and say a silent prayer, the sight of blood makes them go giddy, let alone go for battle!

Those who went in and died today knew they might not come back alive, as that was their vow when inducted to the force.  so please learn from history, to study history you have to read a lot, because civillians face this fate, the mouth and the brain is not on the same frequency, always rude and stupid till eternity.  Fedup with their stupidity.  Thank you for your moment.
