This news confirmed what the Spore Principal Mr Gan told us : Johor Bahru is quite a scary
town to be in : full of thugs and danger which lurk everywhere. Note that the English version
does not mention that she has been raped......
"And LGE was made to apologise when he stated that Johor was a dangerous place to live! Shame on the johor State minister for not curtailing such happenings.......that poor woman has family........seriously do you feel their pain...cos I do." from Facebook comment.
Also this happened on 25th November 2011but I missed reading this piece of news until I saw picture of her funeral in a later newspaper, and I was like, eh, when did she die? And no wonder, the news was relegated to Page 6, hidden among all those inside pages and only a small little column, as always!
What are they trying to hide? Big disturbing news hidden in a small column among the inside pages.
A female piano teacher was found murdered in her car along Jalan Undan 12 in Taman Perling, here, yesterday, about seven-hours after her father lodged a missing persons report.
Chiu Kong Min, 31, was found dead with her hands tied at the front passenger seat of her green Perodua Myvi car by a passerby at 7.45am.
Earlier, the passerby had tried to wake up the victim by knocking on the car window, thinking that she was asleep in the car.
However, after closer inspection, the passerby was shocked to see the motionless victim’s tied-up hands.
He then alerted the Taman Perling police station.
A team was immediately dispatched to the scene and the body was later sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a post-mortem.
Initial investigations revealed that Chiu may have been strangled as there were marks on her neck.
Police were not ruling out the possibility that the victim was murdered elsewhere.
“Investigators are still studying the motive behind the murder.
“However, we are ruling out robbery as a motive as her personal belongings, such as mobile phone and cash, were untouched.”
Akhir said police would wait for the post-mortem report.
On Wednesday, Chiu was last seen by her 64-year-old father at 2.30pm before she left their home in Taman Perling for piano class.
Following that, she failed to return home and her father lodged a missing persons report at the Taman Perling police station at 12.30am yesterday.
