Nyonya Bak Chang (Dumplings)

After I had lamented that I did not
get to eat any Chinese dumplings
this season, my colleague (also my namesake)
gave me two Nyonya dumplings.

 beautifully wrapped and tied, you just tug at the string, it will unwrap to reveal the goodie inside..
 Nyonya dumplings have a distinctive blue colouring, from the blue bells (flower)
inside was a generous filling of minced meat in soya sauce and the dumplings had a sweetish taste......my first taste of Nyonya dumplings after many years of Teo Chew ones.  Thanks, Joe Loo!
