北京炸酱面 Zhajiangmian Noodles for Lunch

Since we could not have zhajiangmian at the college, we went to 
Yu Shan Fan Zhuang (Imperial Kitchen)

 It is not served individually but about four bowls for 7 persons
the black sauce (Hoisin sauce)

 you take a bit of mee then, you spoon sauce on it
 then you toss and mix it up well
 enjoy!!!

 we had ferns to go with the mee
 and one cup mantous with chaipoh filling
 you also spoon chai poh onto the middle of the cup and eat
like this
we also had pancakes

 and as usual, the pancakes had chives as filling!
 going into the shop





so there!!! we have tried zhajiangmian, go to your local shops and see if you can find and fried sauce noodle ala Beijing.


(Zhajiangmian (Traditional Chinese:醡醬麵Simplified 

Chinese:炸酱面. Literally "fried sauce noodles") is a Chinese

 dish consisting of thick wheat noodles topped with a 
mixture

of ground pork stir-fried with zhajiang (醡醬), which is

 salty fermented soybean paste. It is said that it tastes better
