4 Dec 2014 Welcoming The Taiwanese and Puchong Yong Tau Fu 蒲種釀豆腐

(picture from Open Rice)
Our President gave us lunch at Puchong Yong Tau Fu
before he took us to KLIA (the old airport) to welcome the Taiwanese
me, Dave, Jim, George and J.

Puchong Yong Tau Fu 蒲種釀豆腐

It is situated opposite a well known Chinese primary school;

SRJK (C) Han Ming at Batu 14 Puchong

 A. took me to look at some funny tin bowls,,,,"Have you tasted this before?"

The funny tin bowls looked haphazardly thrown on to the "sink"!!!

  1.  Actually they were bowls of rice flour cake,...of course I had

  2. eaten these!!! chwee kueh ! As a youngster in Batu Pahat!!!

  3. I call it "chwee kueh" and it was sold by a man on a bicycle going : "chwee kueh, chwee kueh....!!!!" We would run to him and he scooped out the rice cake from his tin cups and put toppings for us!!!
     the preserved vegetable topping
I liked the Batu Pahat version: not so sweet, more finely chopped and had red chillies and spring onions..

the fried stuffed bean curd and egg plant
 A. opened the paper for me to get a better shot of the yummy chicken inside
soupy yong tau fu....stuffed bitter gourd, ladies fingers, red chilies and soft taufu
so we had 2 types, the fried yong taufu
and the soupy yong taufu which looked nourishing and healthy
G. is so busy conducting his "office" by remote control

the busy shop!

then we reached KLIA 1 which I had not been to for a long time!!! We always use KLIA2 now!!
Sad to say, KLIA 1 looked, old, dated and deserted.....

 A. and his famous selfie,,,the five of us who made time to go to the airport...
the Taiwanese arrived on time, and we took a picture with the banner that we brought along...
Welcome to Malaysia!! The three (President, Past President, and President Elect) will be attending the District Conference at Vivatel
and also attending tonight's meeting.
